Decepticons are confirmed for the movie. Plus Shockwave is the prominent Cyclops. It’s kinda his thing.   He deserves it.

 

Yes, but it seems like basically for the screentime of cameo or short appearance with how they were described to be in the movie when ROTB was announced. 3 theories of mine are maybe a flashback on Cybertron (showing how Prime escaped) or a post-credit scene or being killed by Scourge and he take's the Con or Cons Decepticon symbol.

 

I think we’ll get both a Cybertron opening scene, and an end scene with the Decepticons showing up on earth. My guess is they’ll recruit Nightbird after Scourge dies.
But hey, Blitzwing got a SS with what little screen time he had! Who knows, maybe Shockwave gets a cool earth mode.

Maybe but she is described as switching sides so maybe she was a Decepticon who became a Terrorcon and maybe she goes back to them at the end of the film. But that possible.

 

OR the Decepticons follow Prime to earth as he escapes. It’s very possible this movie could be an Age of Extinction situation with the new villains in the foreground, but the Decepticons still doing their thing. After all, if the Autobots team up with Maximals, the Decepticons need Predacon support! I think Megatron will be a time traveling Predacon because they still aren’t sure if they want to retcon the Bay films.

as for Nightbird, I thought the described her as struggling with allegiance. I could see her leaving the Terrorcons at the end.

 

Maybe as long as It's a post-credit thing and not apart of the movie then I'm fine with that (cause this film kind of has enough on it's plate rn).
I'm curious to see even if they use BW Megatron with how unsure Paramount at least seems to be about fully committing to a rebooted universe right now. Might be a new Predacons leader (maybe a G1 character or a OG character) Or as what I hope they go with they give him a new name maybe even going with his IDW BW's name Galvar.

 

Yeah, could be a new leader. If they go the time travel route I could see Megatron being the Decepticon Megatron, but from the future. That way they could reintroduced him I guess.

 

the 1 year delay really blows but I hope we get some RISE toy leaks next year.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if they do end up coming out before the movie does. If they're already designed and produced (since they were banking on previous dates and they got moved at the last moment, as well as this time) I can't imagine they want those to sit in a warehouse somewhere collecting dust, either in Asia or NA/Eur. I'd imagine they'll have to get 'em moving so they can make room for what's coming in the future.

Exactly. I wouldn't be surprised if we start seeing "leaks" of ROTB toys that made their way to retail in some form.
The only thing that throws me is PvP and Chefatron have none of them, yet, so maybe they kept the production under wraps until they were 100% certain the date/sales were ironclad at the theater.

More or less, yes. Can't get more G1 than that, outside of the original toy design being slightly updated for today. "HEY! Just shove your heads up my knees!" "OKAY!"

 

No doubt it's accurate to the cartoon, but still... every other combiner actually looked like a combination of characters. Menasor was more of a "super-mode Motormaster with some extra shin and arm protection"

 

Apparently it's not as bad as the cartoon, iirc.

 

Honestly, I hope those who want this are happy with how they turn out, but I'm perfectly happy with my CW combiners.

 

Iirc the leg frames are hollow and need the car bots to properly stand

 

Which means he adds some variety, the spice of life.

 

If you're into him I hope this "Legacy" version turns out just what you want. Me, I'm 100% happy with my CW version.
