I prefer them to take their time, no need to rush anything

 

to bluntly say this: if they did, then it would've felt as plain as with their very first Movie releases

not to discriminate their lack of work on details in sacrifice for the brilliant engineering, but, that's mostly what i'm accounting for, along with tolerance control of course

again, not to discriminate, nor downplay UT at all-

Maybe the holes are that deep because they are taking into account the paint thickness.

 

Unless they putting globs of paint in there it would still look like large holes. I think it’s just another case of poor sculpt work from UT, who has struggled with movie designs.

Just go back and look at Peru kill compared to this guy. They were never known for good sculpt work. They only started to improve with Galvatron and seems like they are still struggling with smaller details.

 

Honestly and I hate saying this but I wonder since BMB KO's UT's figures I wonder what they will do with Desperado. But I do hope they change Megatrons head or at least that side piece of his head/helmet.

 

Poor sculpt work is too extreme imo, but they are still improving, hopefully the head damage will look better.

 

True, a more fair word for the headscult in particular would be rough sculpt work.

It’s funny, UT made the holes way too big, while AT didn’t make it look like damage but like pieces of his head are missing. I’m confused how that Dotm voyager managed to get the best looking damage.

 

I don't think so since they're already in the production process.

 

Still worth a try. Zeta managed to change their wing tips on blitzwing right before shipping out so seems like it’s possible to change up visual things.

 

even then with Nero, it looked rather derpy considering that the eyes were too close to the bridge of where the center of the face is

the point with Peru Kill, Challenger and Dragoon do hold itself to a literal tee because they've been rather "spongy" in terms of the sharper details, yes that even accounts the level of limited time for them to pump out those figures- that went for the weapons and accessories as well I'd say, worst case being with Peru Kill again, with the "Steeljaw" and Seed extras, they felt gummy and plain compared to the sub-par detailing on the figure itself, frankly the robot mode suffered more on aesthetics compared to it's car more, sure it's very accurate to proportions for some, but very drab on detail

 

If UT managed to apply their paint this well it might look fine (or even great), but this paint application is substantially beyond any paint app UT has given us so far (unfortunately). Time will tell. UT has generally made good toys, so if they get it looking good enough it still may be superior to alien attack. We'll see.

I agree, I'm not terribly excited by how that looks now.

He looks great and at least this side of the face looks good (had to use the Prim1 statue since it’s hard to find a still from the movie from this angle).

 

The only problem and,perhaps the biggest one for me though,is that there is no joints on his Bare feet so he can't touch the ground as we seen in these pics,such a pitty.
