Thanks guys.:)  Tightening the screws worked like a charm. I knew I'd read something on it a while back, but couldn't find it.

Looks good, the paint really helps the eyes standout better!

A red recolour definitely can’t come soon enough

    Looks fantastic!

I'll need to copy that on mine when he arrives next week. :D

I've also been adding more silver/chrome details on mg DS set using a bunch of molotow markers. 20211118_151042.jpg

One of my sweeping's left elbow hinges is very loose. Any advice on how to tighten it?

Thank you! Yeah I like the flat black against the yellow. DS barely used any black on these figures but I think it works well.
Looks good! I love molotow chrome markers but they take a long time to properly dry so I don't use them that often.
It's closer to red. The Egypt scenes that showed Rampage were all orange, since that's how the scenes were lit. Megan Fox even complained that she looked way too orange in the film!
Check out the instagram video I posted on this, using floor polish. Works for hinge joints too.

I’ve tried just a slight adjustment to the way this guy transforms. If you leave his fingers out the back of the vehicle, you can kind of emulate the real life vehicle a bit more accurately. Nothing game-changing, mind you. There’s still a few things missing from this vehicle to be perfectly movie accurate but honestly it does a great job of being believable enough.

Guys, I seriously love this freaking guy. I'm soooo tempted to get a second and do a red repaint myself! I highly recommend everyone get a figure stand to support some of the more fun poses. Even with the built-in stand some poses are impossible or tricky. Also, full disclosure I have had to tighten a few minor joints with floor polish: two in the treads and the right elbow. I think someone else had the right elbow be a bit loose as well, yes? Just something to look out for. I haven't even transformed him to leg mode yet and I love this guy. If you're only going to get one figure from this set it should be this one! (I don't have compresor or landslip yet but I still think this could be the case once I have the full set, although Landslip does look awesome). I'm going to look into the possibility of making a tail extension for him too, using a spare non-transforming SS Rampage I have. Stay tuned.

I like how that looks a lot! But don't those fingers add stability to the alt mode with those tabs that tab into the main body? Does it still feel solid with your alternate transformation? I love how many people criticized the original SS figure for leaving the thumbs exposed (and now this figure too) when it's actually accurate to the vehicle (TBF I didn't know it at first either).

As someone who just wants a handful of constructions for the shelf but doesn’t intend to build a whole Devastator you’re preaching to the converted!

This rampage looks absolutely stunning and so expressive; really makes me wonder what could’ve been if devil savior had the SS molds to work from on each release… but as soon as they release a red redeco they’ll have my money

Successful tail extension! I'm really happy with the way this looks. I love this figure but the tail being a bit too short was my only issue, aesthetically. Now it's fixed! Right now it's a removable piece that's sort of wedged in there but it stays really well. I had to paint it yellow since I had a spare rampage but my skipjack is busy being a leg forever. I'm so happy with how it looks :)

I also added a lot of little details and panel lining, with some black areas.

Yeah I think the ones with more SS influence are more successful. Hasbro did give us a really good balance of playability, simplicity and being good in all modes. But of course they had budgetary restrictions to contend with and they couldn't be as complete a product as DS is going to be. So far from the ones I have I'd suggest Smash, Bomber/Paranoider and for sure Sweeping as individual figures.

I don't think there's any other tabs for it, unless I'm blind. But it's still solid and no issues there.
Oh yeah I get why people have issues with it cuz it does just look like kibble, and I think it's fair to say that most of the constructicons of this line really just have a strong resemblance of the vehicle, rather than the EXACT vehicle. Even Smash is a hybrid of two different dump trucks.

Yes, one of my sweeping's left elbow hinges is very loose. Also, the treads on both arms do not tab in properly in combine mode.

My DS Devy on all fours! Using Supreme Class Scrapper (and a couple of CD cases) as stand in...

Same here. I pulled the elbow pin out and flattened it a bit with a hammer. That helped to tighten it up a little. Threads did not tab in because the tabs were slightly to big. Once I shaved them, they tabbed in very securely. If you wanna give it o go, I highly recommend disassembling the threads first. It's very easy just unscrew that part with the tab.

My Sweeping has his little smokestack missing. It's the only issue at the moment.

By the way great picture of Devy on all fours.

Side note: my tail extension can't stay on for transformation but it does store on the back very securely! The grey part I decided to keep on just happens to fit into the combiner port at the back of the vehicle mode perfectly. Since construction vehicles are messy anyways it doesn't feel too weird or obtrusive. Also, I tried @Catalyst1945 's method of mistransforming to show the rippers more and it works and I like it!

I think Sweeping is the best figure so far.

That said, I’ve decided this combiner is not for me. My full set of the released figures is now on eBay if anyone fancies dipping in now
