Hey, I found a stash of them hidden on a random shelf at Target today and there was a Zombie Cap in there so I’m good. If you are cool with that, thanks a lot for the offer!

Never fear, Sam WILL get a minifig eventually. They went back to do series 2 for The Simpsons and various other franchises and will almost certainly do the same here.

As for a potential series 2, I could easily reel off a list of 12 characters most Muppets fans would visually recognise in minifig form right off the bat, even if (unlike the first selection where the names are all iconic) they maybe don't know them all by name.

Plus, Pigs in Space naturally gives them ample room to do new versions of Piggy etc. So, for example ...

    • Sam Eagle
    • Scooter
    • Rizzo The Rat
    • Zoot
    • Sweetums
    • Dr. Teeth
    • Floyd Pepper
    • Pepe The King Prawn
    • Camilla The Chicken
    • Marvin Suggs
    • Pigs in Space deco Misss Piggy
    • Link Hogthrob (Pigs in Space)

So…was planning on using redeemed points when I purchase the AT-AT to knock the price down a bit, but I’m a bit leery knowing how dodgy the system is at launch time. Anyone done it successfully? I don’t want to enter them, have that order time out, and then not be able to use it. They’d probably credit me on the back end, but that would be a hassle.

I finished Discovery! Man this is a lot of set, and I really, really like it. I've seen the mods for the Hubble to actually sit in the payload bay, but I'm honestly okay with just using the extra stand for a deployment display. Probably just going to display Discovery and Hubble separately anyway.

The chrome stickers were definitely kind of a pain, but I managed them alright; and I just love a lot of the details like the approximation of an interior on the mid- and flight decks, and the snappy landing gear feature. About the only thing I'm not super keen on is the airbrake in the vertical stabilizer, which looks weirdly gappy and flimsy compared to literally the rest of the set. If that's my only negative though...man, good stuff.

I have enjoyed all of the NASA collector's sets I've picked up - only missed out on Women of NASA - and I'd be hard pressed to pick a favourite that lasts. Can't wait to see what the next one is, after next season's City Space reincarnation.

Anybody know anything about this General Jim guy?

General Jim's Toys and Bricks Military Building Blocks Sets

Some of his stuff popped up on Amazon while I was looking for the Creator Expert Haunted House ride (conveniently out of stock on Lego.com as double-points VIP weekend approaches, again, grrr). They looks pretty decent, and the biggest complaint of the sets that have been reviewed are missing pieces out of the box. I’m wondering if they are Lego or some sort of KO brick. Price is probably too low for someone to bricklink these sets and resell, so must be KO.

Just finished the Saturn V build tonight. Fitting, since there's a lunar eclipse tonight!

Really impressive set, and didn't take as long to put together as I expected. I'm confused, though, are you able to combine the parts of the lunar module the way they're displayed on the box? Doesn't seem like the proper connections are there.

Anyone with 2006 (Piraka/Inika) Bionicle sets mind telling me if the joints hold up well. I’ve heard it’s 2007 onward where the joints are fragile but 2006 seems to utilize similar joints so figured I asked before I purchase some.

No issues with mine. Keep in mind, with 2007, most of the issues just concerned the lime green joint pieces. With 2008 onwards, the changed joint design became more fragile.

Thanks for the info. Kept hearing conflicting things about when and what’s most fragile.

VIP Weekend rewards are live on Lego.com. Looks like the Vintage Camera has lasted more than 10 minutes, unlike the Ulysses probe earlier in the year, haha.

Got a Vintage Camera after 8 minutes of lag and site crashing.

Nice to see it lasted longer than 10 minutes at least.

Are there other Black Friday sales on sets besides the camera? I’m not seeing any, but it might be Lego’s awful, labyrinthine, overdesigned mess of a website.

So I noticed the technic Batmobile went from backorder to just completely out of stock. Is that thing gone for good, or will it pop back up later? Didn’t realize it would be that popular when people on social media kept complaining it looked like a generic car…

I ordered some lego to help my aunt by presents for the kids for Christmas. Boy lots of stuff is already sold out. I am currently on the fence of getting the Lego City Wildlife sets to get more Double points.
