Another round of BST forums buys! These guys came from @John TheDestroyer, another great seller. Siege Spinister, Skytread, Hotlink, and Studio Series Brawl.


(Spinister has "borrowed" Hotlink's Targetmasters since I don't have Singe yet and Schrute.... won't be easy to get)

All around a great set of figures!

Brawl rounds out my three favorite Bayverse Decepticons (pictured below with Barricade thrown in just because he fit the first movie theme) and he's got a surprisingly fun and intuitive transformation which I've begun to not expect out of a Studio Series figure.



Spinister and Hotlink are both molds I've dealt with before. I loved Rotorstorm so much I couldn't pass on getting Decepticon moldmate and I'm glad I didn't, that headsculpt is killer. Hotlink's colors are much nicer than I expected, he almost has a spacey look to his wings. The figure unfortunately has some damage to it (known before the purchase) and I was planning on using him as custom fodder but now I'm considering making him a repair project so I don't lose out on those wonderful wings! But until I decide on that, he'll be serving to round out my fourth Seeker trio.




Skytread is extremely fun! Love his duo alt modes and I've been really enjoying transforming him back and forth. But I forgot to take a photo for him and I can't think of who to pair him with.... and I'm tired. So... Sorry Flywheels, you drew the short end of the stick today  

 

The local Walmart actually got in more Kingdom and Studio Series figures as I was there. Didn’t care much about SS Bumblebee from Dark of the Moon, Jazz was tempting, and I literally had Gnaw in the cart before I clapped eyes on the lone figure that had me drooling:

He hysterically will go well with the 52Toys Demon Dart that should be here any day from ShowZ.

 

Nice buy for Spinster- he is one of my absolute favorite Siege figures from the line and it was a joy in both modes. Those colors are so extra, but I love them! I kind of wish I could get another one...

Just last week, I finally found a Scorponok at an Aussie retailer that sells Deluxes for less than $40, although it was Big W, which sells them for $36, so I wasn't willing to get Wingfinger. Today, I found Waspinator at Kmart, which sells them for $29 and they even had a Tracks, meaning they had gotten W3, which I didn't know Kmarts had gotten. Unfortunately, they didn't have anyone else left from W3, but then I remembered Big W is having a sale (which I found out started the day after I bought Scorpy), so I went and got him there. Got home and found a package with, among other things (such a Classified Snake Eyes with a missing accessory) the Tricranius I ordered when there had been a sale at an online shop.

Overall, this has been a pretty good day for my Transformers collecting. Not so much for my G.I. Joe collecting, though. Still, I'll probably post some pics of my latest finds later on, be it in this thread or another.

 

Tracks is repacked in wave 4 with waspinator, shadow panther, and paleotrex repack. That tracks you saw doesn't mean that your Kmart got wave 3, he was probably just from the same wave 4 case assortment as the waspinator u saw.

 

I was wondering about that possibility, but I swear that I'd heard W4 cases were made up entirely of Waspinators and Shadow Panthers. Maybe I'm remembering speculation from when we first learned that the other new figures from the wave would be turned into a fifth wave.

Lol, I know how you feel, the computron you have isn't much fun either. It makes me cringe that he must be worse than that

 

Honestly, only the Scattershot gave me trouble the last time I messed with Computron. Even Streetwise, which you'd think would be the most straight-forward of the Defensor bots, was giving me a headache after a while. I didnt bother with the alt modes, I went straight for the combiner mode and called it a day. Maybe in the future I'll come back to it but that day is not today.

Found a 2nd Sweep at Walmart yesterday. I promptly canceled by Amazon pre-order. Glad that's over with. On to other things.

So... Galvatron II is the Marvel character and therefore didn't have stickers, but G1 toy Galvatron (who has the same color scheme) should have stickers?

Yes, Galvatron II is Marvel Comics/alternate time line Galvatron, it's all canon he's completely bonkers awesome!

And let's face it... he's THE Galvatron and the purple poser one should be the one that's called Galvatron II, lol.  

Once the stickers goes on him... you can't unsee the G1 toy, but you get to choose!

Well, I learned something today. I always just assumed that the original toy and the Marvel Galvatron shared a deco, and the Sunbow model (as usual) was the oddball. I didn't know anything about a "Galvatron II". Thanks for the education!

I got Galvatron! Looking good next to Cyclonus. Now I just need Scourge. Unfortunately, it looks like SS86 Scourge is pretty impossible to obtain, but I did preorder SS86 Sweep and that’s basically the same exact figure.

 

I’ve really got to get back into reading the Marvel Comics. I’m currently in the middle of the UK Prey storyline (around issue 24 in the US comics). It’s my day off. I was gonna read some more of the Wheel of Time but maybe I’ll read that instead.
