Hasbro didn't say there wouldn't be pre-orders for Blaster, they said there wouldn't be pre-orders on Pulse for Blaster.

I see he's up for pre-order on Entertainment Earth. I am confused, as it was originally stated in-store only?!

    What's going on?!

Hey, just checking, but figure swapping isn't the easiest to do with online retailers right? Like BBTS won't sell a figure that has been swapped with another?

BBTS straight-up won't accept opened returns, so no.

I'm torn. Do I pre order with TCP EE or roll the dice that BBTS will have a pre-order soon. There is always retail... Nope not hunting at Christmas...

Alright. Sounds perfect to me cause I saw a pic that reminds me why I hate shopping in the US, and mainly retailers so happy with my purchases on BBTS being secure

That was never stated by anyone at Hasbro.

"Kingdom Wave 5 – 1/1/22 – on shelf only, no preorders. Eject is energon infused, clear plastic. Will be mainline, mass release, and online retailers will have them. Probably not via long range pre-orders tho. More details soon." - source

I'm waiting on BBTS or Amazon. I'm not paying close to $11 for super saver shipping via Pitney Bowes . . .

I just hope they don't try and release him right before Christmas. Shipping will be a nightmare

There's no telling at this point. With a hard street date like that though being made public, inventory is likely already in place and Pulse probably spread out their allotment (e.g. them not doing pre-orders and stating "shelf only" and "online retailers") to bolster that due to the never-ending global logistics turmoil. It will be interesting to see what happens production number wise due to the current state of retail combined with being Wave 5 of Kingdom combined with corporate purchases being pitched and purchasing Legacy eons ago. Part of me knows that I should place the order at Entertainment Earth and be done with it but, their pre-order shipping is egregiously priced compared to the speed it would ship via Pitney Bowes even during "normal" times.

I'm not looking forward to the inevitable non-energon infused cassettes though which will 100% be some absurd store exclusive and/or an extremely limited release (or worse not getting them released at all). I'm guessing we'll also wind up with energon infused cassette reissues for Siege/Netflix/Selects Soundwave/Soundblaster (or worse their redeco versions like Buzzsaw).

I get that energon is the gimmick for Legacy but tiny robots with even smaller ball-joints/ball-sockets that transform into cassettes which are made almost entirely out of translucent plastic (the biceps/thighs/back/head appear to be opaque) with metal pins is going to be problematic at best. I would have much rather had a translucent plastic weapon that could be painted or an opaque version of it sold by a 3rd party or aftermarket company. Thematically translucent cassettes make sense for Legacy

    Is EE better than TCP?

I've no idea as I've never ordered from TCP, no shade, I've just never purchased anything there. I'm used to the paleolithic era when everyone either shopped locally and/or online at BBTS and occasionally considered HLJ because what even is e-tail? I don't think I even knew about Entertainment Earth until this past spring/summer.

The only thing that I don't like about Entertainment Earth is the shipping. I haven't placed a lot of orders there and I've only had one issue with an order but they setup an RMA for my Earthrise Scorponok after I declined a discount to keep it as-is, payed for the return shipping, and then setup a replacement pre-order once they received the return. Email replies can be slow but, they were/are probably overwhelmed, they were always responsive, and the same employee replied to each email so their customer service is good as far as I'm concerned.

I've only uses each once... Years ago. It was Slow both times. Both arrived before I found one at retail. I'm just not sure I want Blaster that Bad... And It's Christmas. I want to spend my money on something that's going to be under the Tree. If not it can wait. I'll get him eventually.

If my choices were to shop at Embarrassment Earth or stop collecting, then I'd stop collecting.
