Thought as much. My credit card company is sending me a new card regardless here. I'd prefer not to get into those "Pay" things on my phone to be honest as I rarely use my phone outside of calls and texts as is.
Anyone interested in these before I send them to the eBay Graviter chrome reissue transformed once back and forth asking $200 Anime constructor everything accounted for minus the screaming head, I’ve never transformed it and I’m not 100%sure if the previous owner did. Asking $585 PM if interested
Yep. More like... different parts, same engineering. The legs are a little different, but not by much when the transformation comes down to it. If you run into that again, I generally just try to wipe off the chip (treat it like a rubsign, I guess? XD) and that gets it to go. They do seem to get scuffed over time tho.
I've had that with my RedCard a few times. Some readers get temperamental about the worn chip moreso than others. Thankfully that's the only one so far that has caused me trouble.
Usually if you try to use the chip a couple times and it fails, it will let you swipe instead. So swiping should still work, might just have to go through the attempt a couple times on the chip before it gives up and allows swiping.
I've looked over the two of them extensively and I can't find a single shared part. The arms transform pretty similar, though. I wasn't super bothered by the relative simplicity of the design since a Ford Explorer is a pretty blocky shaped vehicle, but my problem was looseness on the ball joints at the hips and elbows and the clear panels in the feet being too tight. The new head on the t rex's robot mode was weird, the socket itself was super loose, but the base of the neck was super tight and kept on making the head spring into a completely vertical pose. They feel much better with those fixed, though.
Yeah I guess 're-engineer' is the more accurate term. Like you said, it's not a BAD design (also thankfully my clear panels weren't to tight), but I just got this 'combiner wars' vibe off it, probably because of how simple it is and the balljoints. It's still looks good in both modes, but I like good engineering, and this one's very middle of the road, but it is growing on me because of the great paint scheme and headsculpt. With Tyrannocon, I've got the same deal with the loose panel the head sits on and the tighter ball joint. It's not too tight, but mine likes to look straight up as well. That said I LOVE the deco on that figure. The headsculpt is like this rad combination of Starscream, Soundwave, movie megs, and its own thing, and I love how all the red and black vanishes in T-rex mode, which gives her a super stark contrast from one mode to the next. All the panels work better this time around, too. I don't have T-Wrecks, but I think this is the best version of the mold!
I'd be interested. Haven't picked up a new mp autobot since Hound (still have nightmares about the plastic) but Starscream was good enough that I'm willing to give Skids a shot.
AV Walmart has a Wreck-Gar and pair of SS Sweep. Also, their Cyberverse Deluxe are $14. But unfortunately they've only got Arcee. So the Slugwave has come and gone. Lotta Waspy/Shadow Panther as well as the RotF Sideswipe.
Got a Castle Grayskull (and G.I.Joe Classified Barbeque figure) through the help of T-Hybrid yesterday, and dang...the box is huge. Of course given the castle is open inside of the box, I get why. First thoughts...the stickers were a pain in the butt to apply as once you set them down, they're DOWN on the surface you apply them to...otherwise, they rip. Also...the castle is LIGHT. Like super light. The plastic makes me worried about easy it might break if something were to accidentally hit it. Otherwise, despite not ever having the original Castle Grayskull as a kid, this playset is a nostalgia trip. All the various little features from the opening door using the Sword of Power (or any tipped item really), the throne that opens a trap door and the moving elevator...all really fun. I could see modern young kids having fun playing with this. This is a playset. Also, nice that it can close up with little locking hooks to be moved elsewhere. Could it have more features kind of like the MOTU Classics Castle Greyskull? Sure, but the Origins one is emulating the original toy just like the figures and so it makes sense they just stuck with the original's features and stuff. To be honest, I hope we at least get Snake Mountain as well for the Origins line here soon. It'd be the only one I could think of they'd do here.
Another chance at Netflix Bumblebee for $31… Another Chance to Own the Highly Coveted Netflix Bumblebee Toy
I found a Studios Series Gnaw today at one Walmart (Coon Rapids) and a SS Sweep at another (Andover) Also, Walmart had its movie shelves out for discounted movies for Black Friday already out, and the prices work! I bought Godzilla vs Kong Blu-Ray for like $9. Couldn't pass it up as I own every Godzilla film on DVD or Blu-Ray as is. If anyone finds the new wave of Master of the Universe Origins figures (Jitsu, Sorceress, Buzz Off, and comic colors Stratos), if you could pick me up Jitsu, Sorceress, and Buzz Off, I will gladly meet with you like maybe at Hot Comics or something and pay you for them. I have committed fully to this line once I got the Castle Grayskull from T-Hybrid. XD
Took the boys to see Santa at the MoA, passed by the LEGO store and saw the Titanic in person. Also saw someone with a LEGO shipping box bigger than my oldest. Which I assume is how it comes. It is, suffice to say, large.
