Now, for those of us who are looking at 20 inch scale combiners, the MMC Defensor simply isn't the right fit. Fortunately, we have another option.

 

When did Fanstoys announce they were doing their own version of Defensor? Are we seriously heading towards another Menasor situation where there are like 6 different versions of the same combiner coming out at the same time?

More like 2 get released, with a toy repaint and another on the way, and FT will have 2 bots out before going silent for nearly a year.

 

The problem is that if you say you collect 'adult toys', people give you very funny looks.

But you know what I mean. I loved my old G1 First Aid toy as a 5 year old, but at my current age I prefer something that homages it, without being too toyetic.

@ibot Has it been determined if MX-31B will be sold with Paragon or a separate purchase? It might be a good idea to let collectors know now. Hope we can get an answer.

 

I like the fact that First Aid is bigger than a carbot, but I'm not enthusiast that they are using the same engineering as Menasor with the limb bots just clipping on a combiner skeleton. I'm also a bit worried about the final price for the complete set...are we looking at $600+ for the five bots plus another 200 for the skeleton parts?

 

If the Takara's Raiden is the bar for offical MP scale combiner then MP scale is like 12 inches lol

That is what they did when all those other Menasors came out so why break tradition now.

 

Wow, very very very do not want. Transformation looks like torture and having to have an add on form most of the arm is very nope for me. We put up with that on menasor because that's what menasor looks like. Do not want that here.

 

Well, just got ShowZ balance request for Jocund. On the plus side: I'm getting closer and closer to my goal of having MP versions of the main five combiners (Deborahstator, Crash Bruticoot, Superionion, Dennis the Menasor, Defensorebottom). On the minus size: I am absolutely dreading the transformation. Like, "curled up under the kitchen table having having PTSD flashbacks about transforming Fuzz" dreading.

Sort of feel like they\'re trying too hard. Gimmicks and options are cool, but the more you try cramming into a figure of a certain size, the more complex it gets. And when things like this get too complex, there\'s a bigger chance of breakage...

To be fair to @tabtiurf they didn't mention MMC and this is on the front page now so this could be their first time seeing it. Even though I am not going to get this version I like that they made the arm connection have a med bay mode so it isn't just useless when not in combined mode. I don't mind partsforming as long as it doesn't result in stuff that has no function outside of the combiner and this is cooler than the usual "turn it into a gun" approach most combiners do with their kibble.

They probably think the med bay is a fourth mode for the First Aid figure and not the combiner joint in a different mode that is a separate piece from the figure.

Interestingly, from the images we've seen XTB's First Aid looks to be just as complex as MMC's, without the 'all in one' transformation mode. There are a lot of panels there for what is, at its heart, an ambulance that splits in half and also transforms into a robot.
