Eh, I do own the Takara MP Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, Red Alert and Prowl as they are my favorite carbots (I could care less about Smokescreen or Bluestreak). I'd like them to be bigger, but they are not available as such now and might not ever be, so they will do. Having them be bigger is wishful thinking on my part, but it's not a dealbreaker.

Also keep in mind that the Fanstoys Stunticons are bigger in robot-mode when compared to the carbots, but in alt-mode they are the same size. That's a nifty bit of engineering done by Fanstoys, and maybe one day they will apply that to their own version of Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, Red Alert and Prowl.

Edit: And you don't need to worry about my 'joy' when it comes to my collection, I am enjoying it very much, thank you.

 

Zeta combaticons are all about one head shorter than 36/44, which put them the same height as FT stunticons.
Cang toys predacons are the same height as 36/44, while slightly taller than FT aerialbots.
Zeta trainbot on the other hand are even taller than 36/44.

They were barely in the toon at all and even when shown they were all over the place. On top of that they weren't on any official scale chart so individually, at least, it's more of a personal opinion thing. As long as they look cartoon accurate I'm good.

That all said, don't be surprised if these end up similar to the MMC Combaticons and have varying heights (as a team), and not all the same. At least the arm bots being bigger than the leg bots in this case. The massive clue here is Defensor himself, his proportions. The Stunticons never needed to be varying heights, they're all cars so that'd look daft, they just needed to be similarly sized to the precedent Takara set with their car bots, imo.

The Zeta airealbots are smaller than FT, predaking and Devastator are different animals all together. Devy being 6 boys and predaking being 5 bots that were all the same height. But whatever lol

 

Honestly neither one looks bad. But in the end I like the XTB Combiner more (both height and style) so that's where my pre-orders are heading. But everyone can like what they like and there doesn't seem to be a wrong answer here.

I also like the Zeta Combaticons for combiner, but that didn't stop me from picking up 2 or 3 MMC Combaticons for robot mode.

Yes, but I think they include the connecting clips that hold the two separate pieces on the arm, just like they did with Drag Strip and Dead End - ie the skeleton adds to their bulk. You can see it for Jian, just below the elbow - the elbow is white/grey, and connected to a red section that includes the forearm but also has a white piece on the outside of the arm which is actually the top of the lower section of Jian. About 50% of the lower arm is Jian and the rest is the skeleton.
Similarly, the white gap above 'ERGENCY' on the left arm suggests that a filler piece has been added. Otherwise it would be closer to the edge, as the 'EM' is.
So, I suspect that Paragon and Jian will just as likely end up around the same size as Fuzz and Jocund.

 

Ok, just as long as you know that CHUG has an actual definition, which is nothing at all to do with your personal preferences.

By all means, say that the bots are too small for your liking - there's no arguing that. But saying they're CHUG size is demonstrably incorrect.

Sadly, you may be 100% correct... but I'm going to hold out hope for bigger arm bots until we have definitive proof either way,
which may come tomorrow!

Yeah, if the whole point behind making the Stunticon limbs carbot sized is based around them being cars, it makes sense to start mixing it up now. Having the armbots be bigger makes thematic sense due to their vehicle modes, and it would allow them to comprise more of the combiner arm instead of relying on as much of a skeleton as Menasor. And it would set the stage for combaticons (which XTB told me they'll most likely be doing) having varying heights as well.

 

I will confirm that first Aid in vehicle mode is as big as Ironhide. Wait for pics!

After my initial post that was made in blurry, just waking up awareness I see that the arm is separate which is an interesting move. I'm more excited than I initially was.

And First Aid looks great!

 

Very interesting... seems 31b is a new and separate thing? Is that the torso or skeleton or only one part (and there's more sub figures)?

 

I'm not too thrilled that First Aid will have those tiny shoulder ratchets again like Fuzz has... Otherwise it's looking really nice.

 

I like it being bigger than carbot size but bigger means more expensive. Fuzz was 90 usd , Jocund is 100 usd and I guess First aid is going to be 120- 140 Usd
