I just got mine and I LOVE it.

First 3P TF in my collection that doesn’t have a TF or Diaclone equivalent AFAIK. I know it’s a reference to the Your Under Arrest police car, but did the car in the YUA anime actually have a name?

Feels a bit weird calling it by the XTB name “Taiho” or just “Police Skids”

However, considering that Taiho turns into an iconic vehicle, and that Taiho means Arrest in Japanese, I see no reason for it to change.

exactly, it wasn't used in the G1 continuity so there is no lore attached to it.

 

damn, XTB fucked me over again ... the black paint has white styrofoam stains all over it, i tried light rubbing alcohol after water, and nothing will get it off (tried using a super adhesive sticker too to no avail) ....

 

try contacting your retailer or xtb directly. This sounds like it was packed into package way too fast as seems to be an epidemic among 3P. From Fanshobby's protective sheet taking the tampo off the hood of ace hitter to the point then delayed the release to fix the issue, to Deformation Space's paint not being fully cured in some cases before being put into box (resulting in different paint feel the first few days and more paint wear in the early days). IF i remember right, this isn't XTB's first instance of this either. hopefully its not widespread. taiho is great. hope yours gets resolved.

Got mine. No paint issues. Didn’t know it had a nice light pearl to it. Comes across better then pics show.

 

mine was in the town I used to live in, so they forwarded it back to the hub and is finally in my town, but the Post Office closes at 11 and they didn't put it in one of the after hours boxes so I have to wait til Monday. Which by then I'm sure it will be in the don't bother me box, this town's PO is a POS.

 

Pulled mine out of box to inspect just-in-case. No styrofoam/paint issues fortunately, but the drivers door wasnt completely closed, domelight probably been on the whole way. Think i'll have to replace the battery already.  

 

anyone else have the dash pieces fall off? not a gimmick that I care about anyway but it just seemed odd that this one did it when the other two haven't.

 

You should get the red version so that you can Reboost the battery.

 

Got mine in today and it's great. The joints feel even better than on Crosscut and it's a lot easier to get into car mode.

The girls didn't fare super well though. Both of them seem to have a bit of a bend in the legs/feet that makes them lean way too far forward, and on one of them the rectangular base is just plain warped, looking more like the magic carpet from Aladdin, lol. I can probably reset it with a hairdryer though. What I can't fix is the fact that the gun's just plain missing from the hands of one of them. It'd be tiny, so there's a chance I lost it (or inhaled it), but I'm pretty sure it just wasn't there. Unless it's stored somewhere else in the package and I missed it...

Either way, I'm glad this worked out well and that I like this version of the head. Gives me confidence to maybe get 1 or 2 ...or all of the Diaclone redecos coming.
