Honestly I really like the vehicle mode. I hope rumble/frenzy become like little trailers so they can become like a train convoy type thing

Curious that there's no pics of Frenzy and Rumble though. Did they say something about them on their Weibo?

Yeah, they said that frumble will be a separate release. Bummer.

 

Hmm, is that saying Rumble and Frenzy each turn into vehicles, or that they combine together to make one vehicle? The phrasing makes it sound like the latter, but that could just be the translation.

 

I thought the same thing myself! Based off of what we’ve seen of them so far I’d guess that they each just turn into a little vehicle, and that the phrasing was intended to clarify that they won’t turn into cassettes, but really I have no idea.

 

Maybe they build onto SW to fill out his truck mode somehow. One could hope...

 

Considering they each had only 2 wheels in their legs in the pics/renders we saw so far of them, I think they're gonna turn into any of the following 3:
1. Bikes
2. Trailers that hitch onto SW's truck form
3. combine into a single 4-wheeled vehicle (like a reverse duocon or the ROTF twins' ice cream van)

 

I’m hoping the cassette-bots turn into vehicles that can pull Soundwave’s vehicle mode around like a trailer—that would be a lot more interesting to me than Soundwave hitching the cassettes behind him.

I’ll believe it when I see it. But here’s to hoping they’re correct.

 

Hopefully this true for most retailers. Be a nice treat if Soundwave and Seaspray manage to ship before CNY. And maybe IF will be willing to share an update on Rumble and Frenzy once Soundwave ships; it was kinda of weird that there was zero updates on them during the Shanghai convention.

 

TCP had told people that Soundwave would be out before Beachcomber, and that didn’t happen. Not sure how much credit I’d give their time estimate.
