The place I get my Warhammer stuff from has it listed for £79.99 but I don’t know what the postage cost would be.

Are the DJD all phase Sixer level bots? I know Tarns a point one percenter, and they get all boosted up on Nuke, but I was trying to explain them to a non fan earlier and the comment was it’s only 5 bots, and even if they are all crazy powerful we saw at least two take enough damage as to be near enough corpses only to recover very fast. They happily go after bots with insane power levels like Overlord, Black Shadow and Shockwave too. So are they all a little below Tarn’s level, as he’s clearly the highest power grade even if he’s not the designated muscle?

You can keep the hounds leashed and call off IG88 and Bossk, I'll have enough to pay for the first Galactus payment, half of Haslab Star Saber, MMC Rong and an additional, mystery robit....just trying to decide which one...

I think that all together they exceed one phase sixer but individually they're significantly less than that. I think any combination of 3 of them could take a phase sixer down but any less than that couldn't. Nuke definitely helps level the playing field too..

I don't think it's ever specified what power levels the others sit at, but no, they're not point one percenters. However, taken as a group we're supposed to see that they're incredibly formidable. I believe Tesaurus has ununtrium coated blades in his chest grinder, like Overlord has on his endoskeleton.

I posted this years ago about the DJD and still stand by it.

For me, the DJD comprise of one (potential - is it actually confirmed? Prowl did say it, I guess) Phase Sixer and his (disposable) lackeys. They are hugely powerful no doubt, but only Tarn is the real deal if you wanna get technical. The DJD are as reliant on superfuel as much as they are their reputation. I do think (sadly) that the former is down to Roberts writing himself into a corner with them (we'll get there, it ain't the DJD's fault) and the latter is there to demonstrate that they really exist to keep the unruly free thinkers in line through fear and oppression. Look at them fucking with Blip. They're not frontline fighters, they're sadistic opportunists.

And hold up.. these are the guys who end up taking an army five hundred strong with them to bring down a ship of 200 the five of them already killed once??

Those beats in MTMTE 39 help undo my qualms with the events of Slaughterhouse (captainless ship, drug fuelled power amped bogeymen, element of surprise) as well as explaining why once they ran out of smack they turned to Deathsaurus to help deal with Megatron and the Autobots when we had previously seen them maul Black Shadow. It's telling that come Dying Of The Light, Helex and Tesaurus are edgy regarding mere handfuls of adversaries despite being in command of an entire army.. the DJD are fucking shitehawks without their Nuke

And that's where we hit my problem. It was how Roberts introduced Black Shadow with that that utterly insane depiction of him as a self contained army that - heh - casts a shadow over not just the DJD, but the abilities of Cybertronians in general. That was just stupid for the sake of building up his own bad guys, who in the end turn out to be nothing more than tyrant worshipping bully boy smackheads.

Absolutely agree! The unsung heroes of the 2007 movie line, they are great fun toys and mostly designed by the excellent Eric Siebenaler I believe.

    They're basically MicroChange 2.0!

"Can it be fixed, Nova Prime?"
"This is but a husk now, desecrated beyond repair. But I am the Stonemaker, and when I forged this Matrix long ago, I also forged its twin..."

    - The Transformers S04E14: 'Vision Quest Part 2' (2/5)

    PM'd.

They could have been better handled, but in the end they don't feel well-enough integrated into the general story. In the movie they have no connection to anything, and seem to be taking time away from the plot by holding up Hot Rod and Kup, rather than adding anything to it. In the series they just seem rushed into a the history of the transformers to try and justify why they're being kept around... though I suspect the real reason was to indulge Floro Dery's tentacle fetish.

Don't get me started on the cartoon origin for Unicron.

I had some decent eBay sales at the weekend, my POTP Nemesis Prime went for £54, followed by LG Skids at £62. Happy days.

I also shifted some old PS1 games, moving over to emulation to clear space. In all my auctions I have clearly stated in the item description “Please note that I am not shipping internationally at this time” and have not provided any international shipping options.

The message from the winning bidder on Final Fantasy Tactics? “Hi, I live in Spain and it won’t let me pay as it says you don’t ship to my location”.

    *le sigh*

The roof is done, the cage is coming down and freedom from falling debris is finally here..........so of course we will now embark on the longest dry spell in a British Winter ever recorded. Bank on it.

Proper cold and yuck this morning, even The Huff looks uncomfortable..... IMG_20211116_075050.jpg

"Get me in the warm you idiot!"

Pulse have his Mates Prancer and Dancer as dropping 22.11 - which makes the fact that Pipes is STILL AWOL even more daft. There's Worldwide shipping clusterfludging.....and then there's this. Can't blame "current transportation issues" when you can find space on the Boat for the two pack nobody really gave a Shrute about but NOT the Main Dude.

    Either or.

Excellent summation. The DJD were everybody's favourite Edgelords in 2013/14 and then collectively it was like we all stopped to THINK ABOUT IT and saw the multiple problems and plot holes they brought with them.

And then of course there was that "ending" to them, in which That Internet Bloke would be able to rightly pronounce "barely an inconvenience...." and be totally correct.

Roberts didn't even use "I'm not trapped here with you......you're trapped in here with ME!" Unforgivable.

Fanfic doesn't have to be rubbish, but clearly it might only take you so far........but I'll grant that Hasbro interference at certain points and then collapsing the whole gig just because might have brought about the unseemly haste to get shit done and finished too.

Quintessons......I don't own any, and don't want to. Never liked them, never liked their being "crowbarred" into needing a reason to even be around after The Fillum, one and done would have been fine by me.

The Comics have given me all the "In The Beginning......" I've ever needed thanks.

I recovered some old Universe figures. I bought them for their minicons, but they are actually interesting molds.

Cheers everyone, I actually quite liked the DJD and felt a lot like they could have done more with them than was produced, and the MMC designs were especially good (hence my mild annoyance that one of them seems impossible to find).

I just couldn’t get a grasp on them as they debut messing up a phase sixer with a ludicrous implied power level, and we saw other phase six bots like Sixshot recover from insane damage.

They plan and plot every mission to maximise success, have performance reviews and targets to meet, and the logistical minutia of being the investigative terror branch of Megatron was actually really fascinating. The Decepticons seem to run a much better organisation than the Autobots.

(no idea how to put spoiler tags so just deleted rest)

I was in a family holiday in the US during the Energon period, I bought so much Universe for me and my buddy while out there. Some really great sets, and some solid mold choices

    Watched eternals

    short verdict - it good

long verdict - it is arguably the single best looking marvel film to date. The scale is incredible in some scenes. But the good visuals extend beyond just cgi - the rest of the movie is cinematographically beautiful with natural light accentuating good composition. It is very visually distinct

even the villains - the deviants - look a lot cooler and more menacing than most marvel hoardes. I can’t remember an mcu film where civilians have been shown outright dying before , and
we lose a couple eternals along the way
. There’s a greater sense of peril in this movie than in previous MCU movies

Negatives; script felt a bit underbaked .. another revision or two to polish it off would have been good. It is a long movie and it genuinely feels like they were trying to fit an entire phase worth of material into one movie

I like kumail and Angelina Jolie’s characters the most .. jolie lowkey gave a wicked performance that really stood out to me .. wish she had a more central role

Post credits scenes were kinda lame imo ..
    cgi leprechaun looked TERRIBLE
