Also, I was surprised that Eula is getting a rerun alongside (i.e. simultaneous, with shared pity rate though apparently with/as different summon pools) Albedo's rerun. Debating whether I should try for C1 on her or keep saving.

And I'm looking forward to being able to put Paimon in the Serenitea Pot.

Kinda hilarious how Max voices both the infamously bald Saitama, and then Itto, a man with such a glorious mane to the point where he actually combs it after ending his combo chain. Actually, rather opposites in other ways, too. Saitama is virtually anonymous, to the point where his reputation spins off onto a completely different character while he himself remains a nobody as far as the public is concerned, while Itto practically makes it his business to be a known nuisance to practically everybody. Saitama is usually lethargic, while Itto seems constantly pumped-up.

Amusingly, given the Saitama connection, Itto's part in the trailer ends with a close-up of his fist.

And yay, Benny's first entrance into the actual story (Windblume Festival doesn't really count, since there was no real plot there. More of a slice-of-life episode).


And just a bit of info for the new double-feature Banner system: Pity is shared between the two. So if you put Wishes down on Albedo's banner, and decide halfway to switch to Eula's banner, pity will carry over as normal. So the pity counter isn't separated, like it is for Weapon and Standard banners.

I wasn't ready! I was literally going to try to take her all the way to C6 for shits and giggles but now I'll have to settle for getting her to C3, as I do want Albedo, Itto and Gorou. I'll try out an all Geo team for shits and giggles but I also want to try that "double geo vape Hu Tao" composition that people used to do for shits and giggles also.

Only need 16 more sigils from Inazuma to have enough to max out the tree when the final levels are unlocked. Unfortunately, I'm having trouble actually finding anything at this point. Supposedly there's another 50 or so I could get, but the compass isn't showing any chest locations and I'm running out of guides for hidden ones.

 

I think everyone's in the same boat. I don't think there's enough chests yet.

 

I know some people who have over 200 extra after getting it to level 40.

 

There's at least 200 extra Sigils. I've seen people who've scoured high-and-low claim to have around ~230. But not enough to max the Sakura Tree. And certainly not enough to dump into the Souvenir Shop, when that finally opens.

There's still one major area left to explore for Inazuma, that being the mysterious Enkanomiya, likely accessed via the ominous whirlpool on Watatsumi Island. Current rumour is that'll be the subject of the 2.5 update, but that's a little while off still.

 

I've seen a few people claim to have over 280 extra sigils in the current version. And I can find an image confirming at least 244:

So I'm pretty sure you can have enough. Problem is finding them all.

 

I have 243, but darn if I can find more... (found like 4 a week ago, hadn't found any new ones for a while before that)

Yunjin looks more or less the same as she did from that character datamine all the way back at the game's launch, but Shenhe's design has received some updates. For comparison:




Not as drastic as Mimi -> Kokomi, in that her silhouette didn't change much, but most of the fine detail has been revamped significantly. I definitely like the new version way better. I thought the blue leggings on the original design were pretty gaudy. That teasing bit of skin exposure at the hip is just *chef's kiss*. Her original render looked kinda dopey and sad, while her new image gives more serious/stoic vibes.

 

I'm ecstatic that we're getting more Polearm users, but moreso that Shenhe didn't get scrapped entirely in favor of Eula. Since she's a 5 star, that means character quest, and frankly I think we all know she's likely going to be Cloud Retainer. Doubly so given how her look actually looks somewhat similar to Ganyu and how Cloudy acts like an overbearing (but doting) mother figure for the Cocogoat. I want more crazy inventor adpetus bird lady

Yunjin also looks really good in that promo art, I wasn't sold on her design previously but it really works in the official art.

And now the only character left unaccounted for from that leak is Yaoyao, who we already know is going to be a Dendro Catalyst and she's likely going to be a 3.0 Expansion character since Dendo isn't a player-usable element currently.

 

Mihoyo's social media accounts gave more character details. Shenhe isn't actually Cloud Retainer, but a human exorcist who recieved extra training under Cloud Retainer.

Yaoyao and maybe Baizhu will probably launch in the patch just before 3.0, at this rate. I think they'll use The Chasm as a Dendro mechanic primer, in the same way that Klee's Island Adventure was something of a mechanical primer to Inazuma exploration. So Chasm first, and then Sumeru release later.

 

Ah. Well, at least Chongyun has a friend that isn't Xingqiu now

In a way, it looks like our Liyue buddies are both getting girls this patch. Xingqiu is a huge fan of Yunjin, going by his voice lines.

Shenhe toes, for those of you into that sorta thing...

 

I've already got Raiden Shogun, Hu Tao, and Xiangling more or less all built. I don't really feel like I need another polearm character. I do kind of like Yun Jin more than Shenhe off-hand, though (what can I say, I'm a sucker for purple). Plus given the choice, I would probably need a good geo character (literally only have Noelle and Ningguang, not counting Traveler) before a cryo one (have Eula, Rosaria. and Diona). Bonus points for being a relatively easily obtained 4* instead of 5*.

What I'd really like to get is a good sword main-DPS character to build. You might think that would mean I should go for Albedo (since I need geo), but I'd actually rather have Keqing (again, purple wins out).

 

More Liyue Characters....squeal!

If there's one thing I won't ever let go is always having a complete set of Liyue characters. It's the only collecting goal I have in Genshin!
