The original one with the realistic bone colors (Vertebreak) is a girl. I remember people learning that back when the first wave of kingdom was shown off. Dracodon, the green radioactive one, we have no real clue. I like to think of him as Vertebreak's cloned twin brother who left the preds with his army of Wingfingers to join the Maximals (I like imagining that Vertebreak controls the pred fossilizers, sort of an early version of what would become the vehicon general idea). But it's all good though. Vertebreak (and the rest of the fossilizers for that matter) never got any kind of marketing so far, so the word of her being female still isn't all that widespread, so I can see someone cinfusing her and Dracodon's gender.
According to TFWiki, "The character has no bio, though Mark Maher at Hasbro Pulse Fan Fest 2021 referred to the toy with masculine pronouns." So I'm sticking with male for the time being.
I think what happened is I thought that it was cool that there’d be a new fembot character (Vertebreak) and that it was sick that we’d get a sick all green radioactive dinosaur (Dracodon) and my brain merged them together. I rejoined the fandom relatively recently and so I learned about the two of them together. I hope that all of the fossilizors get put into media and become recurring characters because they all have really cool designs! Sadly I think it is very unlikely to happen but it’d be nice.
Yes. I know. What you are requesting is what we are receiving already. If the Mini Vehicles were to be done in Core Class, they would be half the size they need to be. Core Class is very small. Mini Vehicles need to be done in Deluxe Class in order to be the size they should be in robot mode relative to other characters according to the cartoon. Note Huffer is properly scaled to Sunstreaker according to the scale chart. Also note Core Class Rattrap is way too small to achieve that height or mass.
He could be bumped up for the larger price point so he gets the engineering and all the bells and whistles for a premium Star Convoy, but there's no reason for him to be as large as Omega. The Commander class price point is more than big enough to do Star Convoy justice. Just make a nice beefy figure with a vehicle mode with an itty bitty cab. Plus it's not like you need to include the motorized gimmick since neither Dai Atlas or Grandus are on the horizon. No combining feature to worry about that would conflict with transformation or proportions.
I mean there is a fairly good reason for him to be that massive...he's supposed to be super massive. He's not just Optimus Prime with a shiny star on his chest, he's like the god damn megazord in size. And while it was questionable at best, he does also have the base mode which the larger size could help, and he does combine in vehicle mode similar to Armada Prime, so it'd be better if his vehicle mode was larger to help with that. And why not go all out with this one? We already have the smaller leader sized Selects Star Convoy, I say if we were to get another we should make him the biggest baddest Optimus to ever grace retail.

Yes, I know he's quite big, but there's big and there's "I think we've overdone it" big. Making him the exact same height as Max and the other titans doesn't really feel right. Making him the same size as Jetfire is more than large enough to make a good figure that also allows for a base mode(even if it is goofy as all heck). If we've learned anything from Cybertron supreme Starscream it's that bigger doesn't always mean better. I'm not saying they'll make Star Convoy as basic as Starscream was but that figure was just too damn big for it's own good. Space is a premium for a lot of collectors if you make Star Convoy the same size as the other titans, there's a good chance a lot of people are going to pass. If Hasbro sees that they might just figure people don't want Japanese TF's after all. I think we can agree the poor guy after that sad leader release really does need loving and needs to be done right. We're just going to have to agree to disagree on the size. I say he can be done properly with the Commander class. He could be released under the titan pricepoint just not at the size of a titan but as a commander class using the full titan budget to include all the bells and whistles. Also have to correct myself it's Sky Garry not Dai Atlas he combines with. That matters not anyway since neither Grandus or Sky Garry are even on the radar right now so combination in vehicle mode is moot.
