Exactly! Like I backed it but I’d much rather’ve been able to pay it in smaller increments. Anyways what’s done is done, no point in worrying now.

Honestly I’d rather have the debate over additional perks being locked behind Pulse Premium membership than whether or not poor people should be buying toys…

Agreed. Or better yet, just go back to talking about Victory Saber over any debate at all.

Obviously that would be the best case scenario. This thread desperately needs a Victory Saber HasLab update. It’s going to be a long 13 months.

Yeah, can you imagine if Holi and Fire were first-days-premium-member-only unlocks.

Obviously, that wouldn’t be ideal. But I think it would be better if it were like a bunch of cool blast and sword slash effects parts.

I just had a Pulse order for this pull from my bank. I thought I ordered 1 but apparently the first payment didnt process properly. So 10 days later I ordered again thinking I didnt fund this thing. 3 weeks later, 192 dollar charge...I guess I have 2 now.

Edit: I just found 3 emails in my promotions folder that says I have "this much time" to correct the order or it will be canceled. Then a final cancelation notice, then a week later, they charged me, LOFL.

This echos some comments earlier in this discussion. Folks seem to fear that "early premium member exclusives" are likely to be things that everyone would be desperate to get, when the reality is far more likely that such incentives would be mostly forgettable add-ons. Sure, blast effects would be cool, but only the most obsessive completists are really going to make much of an effort to go back and get them (assuming they weren't already in a position to get them through the original offer).

If premium unlocks are things like blast effects, which IMO are generally worse to have than not to have, I'd be fine with it. If it's actually useful stuff like weapons or bonus figures, I would be upset.

They just put a HeroQuest game system up for order. Is it the same one as the HasLab?

Yes and no. It is the base set that people could have backed at $100 during the campaign. It does not come with any of the stretch goals or extra that come with the $150 backer option such as the extra adventure booklets and a lot fewer mini figures. Hasbro said at the start of that HasLab that if it was funded it would eventually come out at retail but would cost more and you would get less stuff so this isn't a surprise. They treated the HeroQuest HasLab more like a traditional Kickstarter campaign in that the campaign was designed to fund it going to retail but backers get more stuff, instead of being a limited release item/collectible/figure.

It's missing a bunch of the backer exclusive stuff, and all the stuff from the higher mythic teir.

The main thing is the lack of alternate gendered player pieces. I remember reading the wording on that, and it saying "these bonus are exclusive to haslab backers." and hoping that meant we'd get a release like this, so I'm actually quite happy I have a second shot at it in some capacity.

Sorry to ping without any updates, but this is my first Haslab project. It's been about a month since he was funded, when should we expect any kind of updates from Hasbro? Has there been any regularity between the prior haslabs to say? How long was it until Unicron's first update?

I can't speak for Unicron but it's been just over a month since Hasbro Pulse announced Victory Saber has entered production. I don't know how long the production process will take but I imagine it's still pretty early to have anything to update. Then with the Covid situation, the process might be a little slower so it might take a while for an update until the production process is further along.

But I'm right there with you on wanting some updates though. The money has been withdrawn and I'm definitely anxious for Victory Saber to ship but it's all about patience. Once Hasbro has something to update, they will post. While I don't know the exact time frame for Unicron's first update or if there were any regularity to them, I know they were pretty interesting updates so I'm sure some news will be coming sometime soon when they have something to update. :)

If memory serves me right, I think it was 3-4 months until we heard any update on Unicron. That was the tooling set-up I believe. I'm an old man so I can barely remember putting my pants on today.

I wasn't trying to be impatient or anything, I just wasn't sure what to expect from this. Thanks!

No worries. The first time is always the hardest to get through. :)
The wait is always difficult to bear sometimes. I was like that with Unicron. Right now Hasbro is getting the pattern set up to make the tooling the most economical. I'm sure we'll hear something Jan or Feb.

So the Rancor is losing backers apparently. I heard from a few people that the overall community thinks it would have easily sold at retail and that the tiers were bad. I mean, why make all the tiers repacks of easy-to-find and soon-to-be mass-released figures? The only tier that is unique is the cardboard backdrop and a pile of bones.

That's true. A reissue Luke and Gamorian Guard, plus a small Salacious Crumb don't seem to be the best stretch goals. I would have bet one would have been a new Rancor Keeper figure but they didn't even do that. At least we are getting a shield and huge gun! :D
