At least he looks good standing straight. I don't think Huffer's "shoulders" will look good from any angle.

 

Nah it's the original I painted up before + was announced and yup, I designed boots to give him a bit of height and more accurate sized feet. They're on Shapeways

Well, it looks marvelous, mate. The colour is great, and those booties put him on a decent level with the other cons. Sorely tempted to get a ko and try something like that myself... except I'm bloody useless.

 

It's an open crack that'll split with further use, but yeah, it's thankfully not something that's been seen anywhere else so far.

Pretty sure they did that because the window was smaller on the cartoon, and that was the only way to get the look to match, even if it only matches when closed.

 

Any place to preorder the tape pack that doesn't make you pay upfront? Is Terry's the only one that does that? Unfortunately, Terry's is sold out.

 

Just got him opened up this morning and so far I dig it. One of the knee joints on Frenzy was getting squirrelly and not popping out correctly. So heads up, don't force it.

I'm going to fiddle with him more later this evening and share my findings if there’s concerns.

 

I don't have mine yet so apologies if I'm talking out my arse but I've seen reviewers mention that it needs to be rocked back a small bit before unfolding at the knee.

 

Yeah, its kind of like that. You normal inclination would be to fold it out like other figures, but there's a peg with a screw and it does have to be pushed forward/popped out then folded down. Its not complex overall but I can see how someone could snap that peg off if they try to force it.

 

I remember being quite fond of them but they've been tapes ever since I got the MMC ones.
Needless to say they have not aged well.

 

Fixed up his torso wobble, folded in the inner leg white panel but left the shoulders unplugged, I like the butterfly inward look:



This is what it's all about. I love the different heights. Makes them look more interesting and dynamic, like the Autobot shelf (and I believe it's pretty close the the holy scripture).

Printed off some sky blue and placed it behind the tape door. Frenzy is sitting in there as a weight to hold it in place till I do something more permanent.

I did try and get him in a kneeling pose and as much as this guy has improved articulation for a FT figure, he can't match mp52 or 36 (or 44) for those more natural poses. Which brings me onto the shoulder ratchets. Horrible. Hate them. The teeth have too big of a spacing so he goes from arms down to a carpet fitter look. Might look at removing them as that'll give a better range for display.

Other than that? Glad I jumped on board! Looks, fantastic with the other cartoon guys on the shelf

It's funny you would say MP-13 is toon accurate as that was always my stance on him but in one of these forums I had someone relentlessly hound me that I was wrong and MP-13 was in no way toon accurate lol

 

Yeah, I felt that. Didn't watch a vid or use instructions, so the natural reaction is to unfold it, when actually it's like a seesaw motion to release it

 

Love the look as well, but I'm gonna have to do a "you" and paint up MP13 to match this guy. I just can't get past the "TT tapes won't fit".

He looks pretty close to me, minus some coloring and the shoulder details.

 

I'm gonna be selling my cartoon mp13. Just sayin'  

 

Exactly, I look at MP-13 and I see soundwave out of the cartoon, a few extra details and deco parts doesn't take that away from me lol
