If the rumors were true, then the TFCU itself not only isn't entirely dead, but they're trying a different strategy by expanding to have different sub-continuities so they could just make movies of any aesthetic (as opposed to the utterly dumb 'historical time piece' settings like that GOD AWFUL looking WWII...thing...we saw at least reached concept art stage).

However, assuming that's true, then it's still a dumb concept because, among other numerous reasons, TLK would be six years old by the time ROTB now comes out. Absolutely no hype would be derived from trying to connect it to a film generally everybody agrees was shit and largely forgot anyway.

Its still a steaming shitpile that got the Lorenzo seal of approval on it.

TLK happened. If he actually gave a shit then everything he says wouldn't be rapidly changing depending on the context of what people liked and didn't like about the previous films. The only real work he does is secure financing which is likely the reason he even remains in an executive producer role on Transformers.

 

Yes that's what I also wanted to say , even after the rewrites some similar stuff might still be in the movie and i would not love to ruin the movie for other people in any way.

I really want this movie to be good, to be the best transformers movie but I feel I'm drifting from cautious optimism to expecting this will just be another flop, not long after wrapping up the filming they're already unhappy with the shots they took that they need is extra year to do it. If I try to be hyper charitable it's possible that Steven caple jr wants the movie to be the best it can be and maybe covid restrictions made it to hard to pull of certain scenes the way they wanted to

That is an awesome idea! The ability to grab literally any vehicle and turn it into armor and/or weapons would be a fantastic concept! Kinda like what Cyberverse did with the Allspark armor, just without the Allspark.

 

Especially when the vehicle choice itself looks like a mistake.
