Okay when you think of the constraints this Soundwave has, I think it's actually fantastic and way better than the Siege Mold.

So the first constraint is that it have a perfect bot mode...it does.

Second is that it fits Ravage in his chest.... and Ravage is huge this time... it does.

Now the other thing here is he never transformed and there's no alt kibble to go off of.

But even with those heavy constraints, I'd say the alt is a more cohesive hover ship than that of Siege (which had less constraints).

And while you guys (not you specifically) are beating it up, I clearly see effort was made here, note the front of the craft is made up of parts unfolding from his calf, indeed it looks like the back of his leg will be fully covered in bot mode. And the top half is a faux windshield that is more aerodynamic than his normal chest. Let me also add that there is a sub window now as well. ....and the way the feet are folded up can only mean possible extra articulation for bot mode. Wait there's more the way the knees fold for alt also means extra articulation, and those knees are really doing something in that picture.

This is a fantastic alt considering the brutal constraints.

Man, it's really hard to take all that seriously after seeing the post above you.
Let's just say that for this one the TF team gets a participation prize and call it a day.

I have never had a problem with it since this was revealed, and to me it looks like some have said, a snowspeeder from Empire Strikes Back. Thank you sir, for pointing out the effort Hasbro put into making this guy possible.

Good for you, but I like Transformers, not statues. I like both modes to be interesting. If they can’t come up with a decent looking alt mode, don’t make the toy.
Easy enough for you to understand?

Good thing they don't stick to YOUR personal standard. We might not have seen this excellent specimen.

"G1" Soundwave and his tapes only ever turn in to rectangles or squares. Because you can only do so much when the torso has to remain hollow to store tapes.

Brawn looks awesome. Rest look good.

Soundwave and Ravage might as well not even transform into anything though.

SS Soundwave looks like mini version of three zero dlx Soundwave.

These guys definitely look good. A lot better than I was expecting. But their faces… why?

It's cause they're accurate to their faces in the movie.

Yeah well their faces weren’t good in the movie (imo) lmao. Maybe they’ll look better in hand, Wheeljack doesn’t seem to bad. Just seems like a weird mix between Bayverse and G1 resulting in horrible design. Should’ve either gone full G1 or full Bayverse, the two don’t mix imo.

Talk to Paramount then. Not much Hasbro can do about it once the character is on screen.

Yeah but it wouldn't be SS if the faces weren't and the rest of the figures were (they didn't change some of the Bayverse designs cause they were ugly looking). The reason the faces look weird is cause it was a last-minute addition (done 6 months before the movie with having to reuse parts).
I think Ratchet and Brawn look a little weird Brawns face looks a little weird cause they're no wash or anything to bring out the detail BUT also I think they will look better in hand cause of the fact that this is a CGI render and not the final in-hand physical product cause the face's look to glossy silver (which happens with these renders).

I would buy the Gears! Did you just make a better Bulkhead than the one the official one?

Ok? I know who makes the movie lmao. I just simply am not a huge fan of how the faces look lol. Don’t see why it’s a big deal haha.

Oh I know why they’re accurate. My “why?” wasn’t me complaining that they’re accurate as much as it was me expressing a dislike of the facial aesthetic. Truth be told I’m not a huge fan of the on screen models so I’m actually pleasantly surprised by how how much I enjoy these figures. I’m happy that they’re accurate for those who enjoy the looks. But hey there’s a lot of people who’d think crazy of me for my enjoyment of the Bayverse designs. So who am I to judge, right?
