Why is that even considered a loophole when you're still spending cash to buy the points? Welp, that makes my decisions a lot easier...

 

How is it a loophole? They still get money don't they? In fact they get money without even selling a product! It's an even better deal for them. We're giving them a loan. If they won't let us use their coupons for preorders we already have, they should let us buy points.

 

Maybe loophole is the wrong wording, but someone could potentially spend $10k all at once and basically get 5% off for future purchases.

I was looking to do the same thing as you two and also apply the coupons to buy the points. Totally agree that it's basically a free loan for them.

 

Well crap. By the time I paid for my preorders, the one item I actually wanted from this sale was sold out. Fuck.

 

I only wanted to buy points because most of the stuff I have pre-ordered has no price yet so I can barely even take advantage of any of this right now. This sucks but oh well, can't do anything about it.

You know, it also really sucks that you can't use these coupons on things you've already pre-ordered without re-ordering them. I wanted to pay off Zeta Bruticus but it's now $20 more than when I first PO'd it and it totally would wipe out anything I could possibly save with the coupons.

 

Yup. I paid off 3 of my Raiden bots PO's just for the 5x points, but I'm debating whether to bother paying the others off or just use my points I bought awhile back. They really made the sale too difficult to use to be very worthwhile, unless you're buying a bunch of in-stock stuff. And when you're talking 3P...stuff doesn't usually sit around in stock...

 

I guess others had the same idea as me to purchase a FT-10 Phoenix with the start of the 11.11 sale... because I just discovered Phoenix is now sold out through ShowZ...

Also, while the coupons scale in benefit (if they could be used), I'm not seeing a combination of the 5% bonus points and any coupon that'd net 10%.
the lowest at $1 off $50 is 2%,
while the $25 off $600 is 4.1667%

So, I guess at best it's 9.1667%?
Maybe I'm misremembering the earlier promotions, or maybe they mean if one also uses them on flash sale items.

Glad I didn't cancel my Robot Paradise Soundwave to make the most of the sake. As someone speculated it's already sold out.

 

EDIT: Disregard part of this. I didn't scroll all the way to the bottom of the cart after I added the full price figure, and it actually adds the $2 PO discount there. But now I still have to figure out how to use the code haha.

So, their claim that you can cancel a PO and reorder to use a coupon doesn't even work, since you can't buy multiple PO's at once, and you lose their PO discounts!

Looking at getting the new MA BB Soundwave. I can PO for $2, then immediately pay my balance for $81 more, for $83 total, with 5x points. Or, I can pay full price for $85, and use the $1 coupon (since even if there were other things I wanted to buy, I can't put any more items with the PO to use a larger coupon), and so I pay $84 total!

I guess you found how to enter the coupon, was going to reply to that. But anyway, the 10% is "Up to 10% off Flash Sale" as it says on their banner. They have some over 10% there tho, but those have been there for awhile. The coupon is a separate thing.

I just saw two gundams added to the flash sale so maybe they'll be adding more stuff through the day.

Real shame that they disabled the points purchase. Most of my pre-orders are locked in lower price+shipping so it makes no sense to cancel and re-order them for "extra" 1-2 bucks off
