I would literally take a lampost alt mode for Soundwave over that freaking mess.

 

They'll probably do the packaging style of Kingdom, which I honestly prefer (looks nicer, less plastic). The core class package pictures probably have the plastic removed so lighting doesn't get in the way of the figures.

Legacy is going windowless next year. They had the boxes on display during Pulsecon and I don't think any had windows on them.

Kinda random but the stationary "pauldrons" on Ratchet look so fucking cool to me. That and Brawn looks like a lil Dwarven warrior and the fact that he's a drill vehicle only works with that even more. Even more excited for these now.

 

I need to know what's going on with Soundwave's chest. Is that a fake robot-mode chest window in alt-mode, or does a big slab of plastic with a hole in it go over Soundwave's chest to get that shape?

...No wait, the alt-mode window doesn't have an insignia on it! It's literally a completely different piece! They gave him a separate chest window just for alt-mode and they didn't have to!

 

Probally the former, which will only be ok if the Chest is on the bottom, So Soundwave and Drop Ravage like a bomb into the battlefield

I didn't notice that, that's pretty interesting. I feel like the slightly raised and smaller window helps the alt-mode look more like a hovercraft. The real chest is a bit flat and blocky to achieve that look. Very subtle though.

Issue is here in the states, people don’t have morals. They open a figure and then return it and make it look like it wasn’t open, and they also switch figures. Closed boxes is a horrible idea. You know how many people will buy them just to find out someone swapped a figure and returned it? It’s already a massive issue with open boxes with multiple figures on store shelves having been swapped, it’s going to be even worse.

Doesn’t help that open boxes help see QC issues, which is important for Hasbro stuff because they and Takara are absolutely garbage at replacement parts. Taking clear windows off boxes isn’t really going to cut down on anything from where I see it, especially since it goes into the recycling.

 

Because us Core Class enjoyers deserve only the best!

 

Hmmm....not too shamby. It's odd that Soundwave's alt mode looks flat like he got whammed by a huge hammer like something from Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry, or any other cartoon series.

 

It turns into nothing.
