More pics of the painted head and hmm... Now I see the issues people have with it. Eyes are narrow, lips are weird and too big and the proportions are a bit iffy (spikes on the sides look too wide) I think both UT and Leafage tried to base their heads on Prime 1 studio figure than the CGI model...



Overall I think I like it more than the default head (and maybe the LED module in this new one won't be an utter crap) but for the amount of money they're gonna charge for it (probably around ~80usd) I'm going to wait for some v2  

 

Oof, the more I see of that "upgraded" head the more I don't like it.

Just to circle back around. You were indeed correct. I took my time transforming him into truck mode again and precisely made sure everything lined up, and low and behold, all wheels sat flush and touched the ground.

They are working on a "V2" already. They probably got some bad feedback on the first design.

 

The original headsculpt looks fine, the replacement looks a lot better, but people still don't like it... Some fans are sooo nitpicky

 

It's an ugly face. It just is, and they didn't do much to fix it. Do you know how much these replacement heads usually cost? For the price we SHOULD be nitpicky, especially if there isn't significant improvement.

 

I don't know, but right I think it is a bit extreme what people are asking for, the replacement head already looks really good. I would never spend money on custom headsculpts, but if I did, I would buy that one.

 

I do not have high hopes for the horns, has anyone ordered a replacement pair or an extra one?

 

Honestly, this is the one design where I actually want them to be LESS accurate to the film and make a better proportioned face. If it were just me who felt that way then I wouldn’t expect these companies to actually do that but in this case with this particular character I know of very few people who like the face.

 

Got my figure yesterday. Got to transforming it today and found it was missing two panels for truck mode.
Can’t find them in the box so it looks like it was left off.

As an update, I tried to go through with a return from the seller I bought it from on eBay. The seller denied and said that the parts weren’t missing, and that I damaged the product. Have to wait for eBay now to step in. Fun.

 

I can't find the external dimensions online. Can anyone tell me how well/badly this alt mode scales with UT Challenger's alt mode? It looks too big to me, but I'm ignorant.

 

I don't have them in truck mode right now, so I don't have measurements for you. I don't have dimensions for the real trucks, either. But yeah, Challenger looks a little small compared to Nero, at least to my untrained eye.

 

Galvatron's wheels are only slightly bigger but the cab looks way too big.
