What is Soundwave's alt mode supposed to be?

 

Yeah, doesn't make sense. If they absolutely needed two core class figures, for this wave, why not make Brawn the core, since he was originally a minibot?

 

Wow all. I goddamn want them all.

 

FINALLY! New designs that keep the core of the original characters without being slavish to the box people of G1. I think this is the most excited I've been for figures in a half decade or more.

 

i really like ratchet. that alt mode looks great to me. i hope we get an ironhide out of it.

they all look really good actually...but what the hell is soundwave's alt mode?

 

oh wow i like all of them. cant wait to get all of these! too bad shockwave isnt a full size figure, but i think its still suitable enough to pair up with kingdom core class decepticons..

I think Hasbro's push to have the franchise being inspired by G1 to be frustrating.

With this said, I'm a character designer and o can appreciate the modern interpretation of these characters. As a Transformers fan I think I'll finally have a G1 collection with these figures.

 

I find it funny how everyone is roasting Soundwave's alt mode, but his is actually my favourite. Way cleaner than the Siege brick mode. Looks like a snowspeeder, or a hovercraft from F-Zero.

Hey, at least Hasbro revealed these waves before they actually came out or leaked (well... disregarding Wheeljack).

 

Can we go one thread without somebody whining about G1?

 

great work making the bots look like the movie, but this is why I don't like when the movie doesn't have source material for the alt mode

Those deluxes look goddamn mindblowing. I am so pumped.

 

Saving lots of money on the Studio Series next year. Easy pass on all of them.

I was super hype for Soundwave, but not after this. My hopes were for a Cybertronian van of some sorts...not a space hermit crab.
