To everyone Knocking soundwaves altmode....Who is buying Soundwave for the Altmode? He gonna sit on your shelf in robot mode, end of. No point denying it, the robot mode is looking pretty damn sweet.
These all look great! Well, Soundwave turns into nothing, but I don't think it's a bad looking nothing. Robot mode is aces, though. The rest are fantastic. I really hope Ratchet's a larger scale deluxe like Earthrise Hoist was. He seems like he should be bigger. Damn you Hasbro. And here I thought I'd be saving money next year.
What the fuck is that alternate mode for Soundwave? Also, why am I reading about this here first and not in an email from Hasbro?
All of these look fantastic! Definitely buying Soundwave and Ravage. Also, not sure if it’s just me- does anyone else see that Brawn’s window is cracked/battle damaged? I don’t care because I’ll be buying him either way, but it’s interesting that he looks to be the only one with battle damaged molding.
Then just buy a non transforming figure? I personally like transforming my figures regularly to deal with stress, so bad alt modes are a disappointment for me
Exactly this. His alt is like... a weird hover ship thing, and I dig it. Feels weirdly 80's sci fi to me. I wish the hip joints weren't SO apparent, but all of these just feel really original and cool.
Interesting they made Shockwave a core class, but okay. Soundwave's alt is trying to do something, if not fully succeeding, but if Ravage can fit in his chest ALL will be forgiven. Ratchet, Wheeljack, Brawn, great jobs, you actually make me want to forget Optimus happened and get Cliffjumper and B-127.
Oh shoot. I guess I should really hunt down a BB Starscream now... I'll probably regret it if I don't... I feel the same regarding the WFC game aesthetic. Even Soundwave's pancake alt mode kinda resembles a sort of hovertank like you'd see in the game. It's still kinda goofy, but I can get behind it. I honestly wonder why WFC Siege didn't give us designs like these...
