I hope I didn't come off too negatively! I think this figure is okay. It just lacks the extra pizzazz that some of my greatest MPs have.

Let me put it this way... TFC Nuclear Blast optimus costs $50 more than Stellarus and you get a fully painted figure made of very good materials. That figure is a bit smaller but it feels like a much better value.

I know MMC is capable of very good materials and paint. MMC Saltus is a work of art for example. I don't get the same feeling of joy from posing Stellarus that I do from transforming/posing saltus.

Between this guy and FH Powermaster Optimus, this guy is more fun to play with, IMO. I found FH Optimus, while an impressive looking piece, to be incredibly frustrating to fiddle around with and pose. The combination of Optimus to trailer for super mode is especially infuriating. Stellarus may not be the best piece MMC has ever put out, but it's way more fun to play around with.

IMO it feels like they wanted to make a bot that can be played with with minimal worry to breakage.
it’s sturdy and tons of fun to play with and he fits well with takara lg ex god ginrai,lg ex big powered set dai atlas.
For me he’s a rad figure,a lil on the tall side but he is supposed to be a bit bigger. my only issue was the tight fit for his head and I fixed that already

i had the exact opposite problem with the head, but i fixed that with a post it note.

I'm extremely impressed that he could hold the giant Fanshobby Cannon with just his fingers holding it.

There is a feeling of 'skimping out' when it comes to this figure. A simple matter of giving the cannons the ability to move up and down would have gone a long way.

Agreed, and I think they nailed it. It’s got a wonderful “toy” vibe and is really fun to mess with. He’s held up well to my five year old, too - though she only wants to play with him in truck mode.

    I want more like this.

Sorry but not familiar with the guy, particularly the knee issue.

How do I obtain the repairing kit? Does it come with the later copies or is the knee fixed on the later copies?

Not as bad as first reported. Non fixed figures just need to have in bot mode (shipped like this but legs are compressed to fit in the product box) and legs extended for the springs to settle. Lay the figure down for a few hours to allow the springs to settle so when you do pose in a stance the legs do not collapse under the figure’s own weight.

When you return to alt mode on a pre-fixed figure, the springs will be compressed again and need to repeat the previous exercise when reverting back to bot mode. Lay the figure down again and leave the legs extended for the springs to settle again.

Some sellers are shipping with the leg fix/repair kit provided but you yourself will have to install.

I’m not sure if the latter stock has been shipped with the kits pre-installed.

I’m still waiting on my kit from Omegalock. Beginning to think I should contact MMC direct given the radio silence from Omega on this. 4 months ago I raised this with them.

The non fixed figure poses well whilst remaining in bot mode. No stability or collapsing under own weight issues. As I said before, the problem will arise if I transform into Convoy mode and then back to bot in which the springs will need to be re-set.

I want the repair kit just in case.

Soo the issue with the knees is fixed with a spring swap and. Adding an “O” ring under it.
Mine didn’t ship with it installed. But takes less that 5 mines to replace.
Make sure to keep old springs separate as the tooth/lock point for the old spring is more rounded and soft edged.

'Good night, sweet prince, and flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.'

Hopefully this'll sort out his legs.

    This fucking thing...

I ordered this thing in September of 2020 with the Calidus reissue, which just came in a few days ago, so I'm just receiving the two this week. This damn thing can't stand up without its knees collapsing. I tried leaving it alone for 24 hours as people suggested and no luck. Now I'm trying to install the fixes, but the left leg's screws are so tight that I haven't been able to get them to even slightly turn. Now I'm on the edge of stripping them. I am so frustrated that I actually threw the thing to the side involuntarily, in a way that suggests fucking utter defeat. This experience is going to so color my impressions of this that it can suck my dick every night when I get home from work and I will still tell people it's not worth the money. This has to be the worst release from MMC since Serpahicus Prominion.

Damn, that sucks. Hope you can get it sorted. Despite not being the most amazing MMC product ever, it's still pretty good, and likely the only MP Star Convoy we'll get.

...still don't know why MMC released it after Op Ex. Anything coming out after that sexy beast was going to have huge shoes to fill.
