That is exactly the same way mp44’s chest windows work and they are clear, it could be done.

 

mp44 is like 4x the size

 

Listen people complained when their first prime came out an it didn’t have clear windows, made similar excuses, later version had clear windows. The size has nothing to do with it. It can be done, and it will likely be done at sometime, probably so they can double dip and get people to buy the figure twice just like what happened with their first prime. Size doesn’t matter it could work if they simply had a clear chest and painted the red parts, the exact same thing they did with version 1

I wonder if just the Magnus is like this or is their Prime going to be the same.

 

This is when MS loses me. I never bought their Shockwave for the expectation they will release a metallic version. If they never do, they lost a sale b/c their release patterns set that expectation for me. If this Prime doesn't have clear windows, I won't buy, simply because I'm expecting a better version to come, which may not. They could really learn a thing or two from NA in this regard.

No. I don’t really care one way or the other.

I hate them. The painted areas of the translucent pieces never match the color of the molded pieces.

 

I want them badly enough that I actually considered cutting them out of the v1 and putting in my own clear plastic. Luckily the later versions of the figure corrected their error and I'm hoping that'll extend to this figure or its repaints having clear windows.

 

True but I guess I was waiting for the all painted metallic

 

except that the metallic version was perfect, as it's the only version that's fully painted so there's no paint which needs to match plastic.

 

I planned to make them cel shaded anyways so making them transparent has no purpose for me :^|

I just hope if they go that route I hope all the windows in truck mode are blue, but I suspect there may be a chance he has transparent door windows, since the coloured test shot has trans blue parts… and I feel like they would have made it transparent orange if it only had to do the effect parts and axe; just speculation though.

 

I'm going to double dip. First release will be toon release, later on there will be a clear windows version. I prefer a non metallic, clear windows Prime like the latest v1 reissue and the toon version for double dip.
