I enjoyed it. And liked the points that were in toy lore or comics now officially in a cartoon (or in a cartoon worth remembering)

I like how they brought in the Dinobots, because I genuinely forgot they had lost colonies.

Perhaps I phrased my comment the wrong way. I think I should have said something more the lines of "a TF show should not be disregarded if it doesn't delve as deep into it as another one does."

See, I can understand not liking Cyberverse, but comments like this don't make any sense at all.

Of all the things you could accuse Cyberverse of, "lack of passion or creativity" is as close to a straight up lie as I can think of.

Like, somebody please explain to me how a season dedicated to Hot Rod and Soundwave leading a resistance group against the Quientessons is lacking in creativity? Are we going to pretend a concept like that is well worn ground for the franchise? Cause its not.

If anything, saying Cyberverse's ambitions didnt match up to there budget or talent would at least be a coherent complaint if not one I totally agree with, but the idea that the show was lacking in effort so so insane.

Also anyone bagging on CV actual animation while being an Animated fan is off the nut, I love Animated but there are whole ass episodes that basically amount to like 30 still frames in total

Man Cyberverse Grimlock is comedy gold. Love how he and Arcee go on Indiana Jones styles adventures. Also, clever way around the budget making the monster invisible.

Yeah, how can anyone accuse a show that takes element from literally EVERY iteration of Transformers as devoid of passion??? It's a love letter to TFs as a whole, from G1 to RID.

    except that isnt even true
they literally immobilized the entire planet so 5 characters could fight 5 characters
in any other scene it's 5 characters and 10 generics vs 5 characters and 10 generics
cyberverse's battle and crowd scenes are some of the cheapest ive ever seen

I would bang on CV's animation easily, from the timing to the storyboarding, it is all weak, but worry not, I also agree TFA's animation was putrid and bad and clearly low budget. Though I feel like low-budget rough 2d animation is easier on the eyes than low-budget CGI can be, not a big deal since I know that is preference from one to one.

Urge to buy Cyberverse Dinobots rising. Sure I have the POTP Dinobots and will get all the SS86 Dinobots, but I like the fact Sludge comes as an Ultra Class while Snarl and Slug are Deluxe. Sludge should be bigger than the others. He's a Sauropod.

That might be their Marketing's way of hoping we think about this scenario. Yet HasLab could only hope that at least 11 thousand of us (mostly adults) would buy Star Saber. Yet they ended up selling over 20K. So how many of those consumers did you think were children vs the amount that were adults..?

I bring this up because some guy said earlier in this thread that he was over 40 and made it sound how hopeless our input is with TF's and the overall line's success. When in reality we (the adults) give more to Hasbro than he clearly realizes. So I'm not buying these Cyberverse figures, the kids can have that (and you to if you like it) but I can't stand that line.

Plus I'm not big on 3P figures either. So Hasbro if your viewing this then just give me and many other G1/IDW fans a real Generation's Voyager class Tarn figure and there will be $30 waiting for it. Same goes for the other DJD characters.

Here is hoping all the Dinobots get Deluxe toys, as Snarl's warrior toy is rather terrible.
Also, it'd be simple for Hasbro to release Bugbite, Afterburner, Soundblaster, Doublecrosser and Nightbird as repaints of Deluxes Bumblebee, Arcee, Soundwave and Ultra Ramjet and Rack'n'Ruin.
Bit confused by the Dinobots, so in this universe too there are other planets with Transformers colonies, is that where they came from? And they didn't even know about the Bot-Con war? Hilarious that their Autobot insignias are clearly drawn on their chests with pencils. I like that they, like Grimlock, speak normally when in robot mode. Female Swoop looks great, loved the goggles, and it's hilarious how Slag's solution to every problem is setting it on fire.

Yeah but they are just based on real dinosaurs, and in the show he is the same size as the others. And I hope we get one as complex as Deluxe Slag/Slug, as I don't like that the Ultras lack head and waist articulation most of the time.

Blur was originally from Velocitron in this continuity and Windblade and Chromia were from Caminus.

I loved the training sequence with the Dinobots. It was cool to see this new combiner introduced and them actually having to learn how to use it.

It's something I've been wanting the franchise to do more with for a while. RID did something similar with Bee and co having a disadvantage because the Stunticons had been combining for a while before they showed up.

LOOOL, love it that the Transformers have their own "wikipedia" on Cybertron -the Wit-Wiki (Witwicky) database! :p
So if I check it right, during the combination, Sludge separates vertically in half to form BOTH arms, Slag and Snarl form the legs, Grimlock the torso, and Swoops attaches on the back as the wings.
I love that when Swoop tells the others "The problem is, you all have very tiny brain modules", Snarl and Slag just go "Well, yeah.." :D
Sludge is adorable, like an overgrown puppy, so enthusiastic. But yeah, he barely resembles the Ultra toy in robot mode. No blue colors, for starters, and he has a completely different head and helmet.

Ah yeah, I forgot the cosmic rust destroyed Velocitron. That was dark. But, I thought people were still Autobots on that planet, too.
Pretty dark that apparently the Mercenaries destroyed the Dinobots home planet too, and likely for sh*ts and giggles...

Nice little special. A lotta story beats weren’t explored too deeply as is common with this show but it has the fun, light-hearted “just chillin’ with the characters” vibe I enjoy about this series. The Dinobots were precious lads and I can this female Swoop characterization becoming a fan-favorite.

I am curious what the production timeline was like for these new specials. The inclusion of the Mercs faction is clearly based off their inclusion in the Earthrise toyline and Netflix series.

Why are these coming out over a year after the last episode of the series came out? (An episode that also seemed to work as a finale, making many of us think it was the end of the series). Feels like Hasbro realized their next series were still a ways off so they commissioned some more Cyberverse to fill the gap. Regardless, it’s cool to see a bit more from this show.

Love that finally, something I been waiting for since Marvel comics happened, we got intelligent Trypticon in the cartoon. I think this version takes a lot of ideas personality-wise from his TWW-Dark Ages appearance, being really eloquent and downright polite.
In fact I think I have found my new avatar...

Watching the first part of the new episode makes think on how disappointing was that Cyberverse Arcee figure didn't had a minigun.:D

Weird how another iteration of the mercenaries is comprised of mostly recolors and also has Soundblaster and Bug Bite as part of their members. I want to say it's a coincidence, but it probably isn't.
