Oh yah, I'm not saying they are all great but the cheaper ones are inching themselves toward being just good enough to look right with the others.

I guess what I'm saying is some characters probably aren't going to get a crazy good Deluxe or anything, so some size classes seem to make their versions just a bit better to fill the gap. Like Ultra Class Clobber. She's the size she should be with more articulation than other figures in the class probably because she won't get a deluxe.

Or I'm just a hopeful idiot. Toys are fun.

They definitely look great together in dino mode, which I think was a goal of Hasbro when they made these.

I'm such a sucker for a dino toy anyway. I'm stoked for Legacy Iguanus because he apparently is a lizard man that turns into a racecar or some shit. Perfect.

I'm handy with a paintbrush, in wonder what a nice custom Volcanicus would look like?

Would you mind posting a few more solo pics of that Swoop? I wasn't going to get him, but if that's gonna be the only Cyberverse one, I guess I'll have to.

The special airs on Netflix on like the 20th/21st of this month. So once that's out I'm sure we'll have no shortage of reference images. I already stashed the box away otherwise I could post the reference image on the side of it (even if it's not the entire picture).

That said, looking at the figure in hand the molded details make it clear who goes where. So if you just have the toys (or some good pics of them) you could base any paint job on that.

He is what he is. Basically a larger Crash Combiner. Lack of articulation and all.

The springs on mine may be loose, as his arms tend to droop even when he's locked in beast/bot mode.

He's definitely the weakest of the team, and the fact you gotta pay for the Bumbleswoop pair is a bummer. I got mine on sale at Amazon so I paid less than $20. It was fine. I get the impression this'll be the easiest to get later if you're fine passing on it until there's another sale. He'll probably drop again once we get through the holidays.

Thanks! I'm a dinobot junkie, so I guess I'll be getting him regardless.

I've got a 5 year old who loves dinosaurs, robots, and robot dinosaurs. So I've got a fallback to give this to if they end up releasing another. Honestly? I just like having the whole gang together in the unified Cyberverse aesthetic.

I feel Cyberverse deluxe Slug might very well be my favorite TF released this year (at least that's not 3rd-party). Soooo great in both modes, very satisfying transformation, no loose joints.

A few more photos here before I try to transform him. Pretty cool so far. Be back with more photos in a bit.

First the good news, once you finally get Volcanicus into his Dino-Griffin form, he takes great pictures from certain angles.

The Bad News: However, don't look at him from overhead.
    20211105_174522.jpg

Even worse, the auto-transform gimmick (which I want to love) makes transformation a complete hassle. I wound up using a binder clip to keep Volcanicus from tripping the hair-trigger on his neck.

The Energon armor is cute. I love it. I just wish the auto-transform worked as well as the armor gimmick.
    20211105_175127.jpg 20211105_175151.jpg

I'm done posting pictures. In-Hand Final Analysis: Fun and would be solid if not for that Auto-Transform. The robot mode is fine and the Energon armor works well. Just expect to get a headache trying to keep him in Dino-Griffin mode.
Rating: 6 out of 10 Energon Cubes.

Hey @T-Hybrid, did you have any problems getting the Dino-Griffin head to stay extended. I had to use a binder to keep mine in place. Maybe I'm missing something.
