Just to clarify, as someone who never got to go to a botcon but wanted to, and never got to own a boxset..This won’t have any figures that are “official” releases by hasbro correct? So no box sets, or single figures that are official. Meaning it’ll just be figures customized from official hasbro figures that don’t count towards anyone trying to collect all of a specific line?

Sorry for using “official” so much. I’m genuinely just trying to clarify. I would of been excited for a botcon that hasbro was a part of.

I imagine this will play out much like the Pete's Robot Convention that's happened the last few years, but just now they have the Botcon name back.

I would love an officially sanctioned Botcon again with exclusives…. BUT toned down from the FP days. Maybe 2-2 selects figures as exclusives also available at HP.

 

It’s a shame BotCon isn’t official anymore, I had a lot of fun at the one I was able to go to

 

Yeah, without official Hasbro exclusives (and no, a third party GI Joe painted as Waspinator doesn't cut it for ME) I can't see myself traveling to the show.

 

Really looking forward to seeing what the new team is able to do. To see the Shattered Glass property I managed for 8 years continuing through Hasbro/IDW and now to see the BotCcon conventions continuing through a new team, it’s been just so wild. 2022 is going to be next level for sure!

 

The fact shattered glass is still going is awesome. If we ever get shattered glass figures of omega supreme, Fort Max, Scorponok, metroplex. Sixshot, Or shattered glass action masters, I’d be unbelievably excited. Recently managed to get a shattered glass blurr, really cool stuff.

 

Man now I’m thinking about how much I loved the figures for the Action Master Botcon that never happened….

 

Did you get the original SG Blurr? Or the new one?

I don’t pick up too much new stuff anymore, but I have been snagging each of the Shattered Glass toys. Seeing those characters in Hasbro packaging has been pretty awesome. The fact that there’s even more to be announced? Wow.

 

This is a KO PulseCon but done in a way that ignores the internet so very small scale, very local.

 

I wish I had the original one! But it’s the newer one. Still really cool though. Makes me wonder what else will come out for shattered glass figures. After seeing jetfire will have a shattered glass figure, I’m hoping this is that reality where a Shattered glass omega supreme or Action Master Omega Spreem repaint happens.

EDIT- yes I already posted this picture today, but I wanna add if we got THIS figure in some shattered glass form, it would be AMAZING

There’s a little part of me that just somehow hopes that Hasbro puts out a Shattered Glass Unicron!

 

Honestly I think it would be great if they did that.

1-Fans who missed out on Unicron and don’t wanna pay the insane prices on eBay/elsewhere, could now get Unicron repainted in a unique way

2-This would not take away from backers of the first Unicron.

I’d buy a sg Unicron. And then my cats can give me trouble attacking 2 planets in the house. Everyone and my cats win!
