I must admit, I was wondering how these paragraphs were connected to my post but then I got to the last line :lol  so in short, companies trying to make a connected universe with a bunch of their otherwise separate IPs is nothing new? ;)

And I'm AWARE of Strawberry Shortcake but I don't think I've ever actually seen it.

    :lol  Aww, that's adorable!

Invoice from Comics for Timber with Commando Snake Eyes has now arrived and been sorted! Very excited for the first Classified Series animal and Snake Eyes ain't bad too!

Age of Apocalypse Sabretooth is here and after the dynamic brilliance of MAFEX Gambit he's much more basic in the articulation department but makes up for it by bringing large amounts of chunk and some nice personality with the 2 headsculpts.

I always felt the last ML Sabretooth was a bit small after seeing him in the 90's cartoon and this one is much taller and as I mentioned before, chunkier so a Jim Lee remake with most of this body wouldn't be a bad idea.

One head has a smirking expression and the other is an angry snarling face, both great! Each head also has a ponytail that can move about as it attaches via a tiny peg that makes me wonder why they couldn't do the same for Squirrel Girl's tail.

BAF part is the head for Colossus with the flappy bits of his bandana which attaches via a tiny ball joint.....I'll refer back to my comment about why they couldn't do this for Squirrel Girl's tail :D

    EDIT,
Saw a YouTube video last night with one of the next Black Series waves that's yet to be officially announced and it's got Fennec Shand in it with The Book of Boba Fett on the packaging.

Only a small pic but the likeness looked OK.

One of the other figures in the wave was Boba Fett in the robes with the gaffi stick and I think there were some Clone troops as well although I don't know which ones.

At least it wasn't Kit and Kat from Thundercats. They'd have had to go on X Factor and forever be known as KitKat

In my head you already owned the flocked Panthor!

Look, explaining what happened in the 80s basically leaves you looking like the aliens meme guy lol.

    Well credit to hamleys.

Despite the holes in the box I was worried about earlier, what I hadn't appreciated was the size & type of box used. 3 foot long x 1.5 foot wide tripple layed card.

IDW Transformers seem to be a mixed bunch of size classes and particular deco - Which versions of our older and current crop of figures would go towards creating an IDW shelf?
Whats your figure(s) of choice? ;)

Meant to post this a couple of days ago! :p

Not me. I was lucky to get the figure for a very sensible price. I cannot remember if it was IDT or Kapow that had them for PO for around £23 which I secured.

I think it was @Pin whom was looking to get Runabout at one stage... I might have tipped him off in referencing the figure which you may have thought I was after. Thanks anyway for thinking of me :p .

Finally got my invoice email for the balance on RF Acoustic Wave from Bombusbee. £120 for the balance and shipping settled. Deposit was $15. So circa £130-135 total cost. Fingers crossed I swerve the import vat/admin charge. My RH Springer was lucky to avoid those extra costs. Will my luck stretch further...

Before I forget I ordered a back plate for XTB Monolith from @jimmyh . Wonderful work he has done on designing and creating a final product to tidy up the back of Menasor if you choose not to stick Motormaster in the gap. Looking forward to getting that installed. Jimmy has provided a number of options including a modular based choice. $32 up to $75. I went with the black and grey plate that has the hole to accommodate fixing the sword to it. Photo below shows the choices:

Definitely worth contacting him if you do not plan to have Motormaster slotted in and want to make sure the back of Menasor is all tidy. Ive arranged with a couple of UK members a bulk purchase to make life easier for all and to keep certain costs down. Top notch service and help from Jimmy as well as the work to come up with this.

AoA shelf now updated with Sabretooth,
[IMG]AoA by Brendan Mitchell, on Flickr

Getting him to hold the plastic chain whilst keeping it clipped to the spot on Wild Child's collar was a bit of a faff because the chain is a fairly stiff plastic but I got there in the end, wrapping some of it around one of Sabretooth's wrists is definitely the way to go, it may even be how it was intended to work during the design process.

Overall I'm happy with Sabretooth, 2 great options with the headsculpts, 2 sets of hands and he's much more imposing than the previous release.

I'll get the rest of the wave with BAF parts eventually but no use for Magneto as I already have the MAFEX one.

The previous AoA wave is still fairly easy to get so maybe I'll pick up some of the others from wave 2 when they go on sale.
