I would be very happy when FTs bring Rig and Tesla out this year. Seriously.. I do. Even if they come on December 31 at 11:59 p.m on my doorstep, that would be a success!

$175 with the deposit, I'm pretty sure. Still, very good.

Yeah why do I feel so screwed over buying from two different US retailers. I think moving forward I'm just going to sit tight and wait for the right price.

i buy from bombusbee. They like to throw on postage (which they dont tell you in advance) but even taking that into account its way cheaper. Id go show z but they seem to have more problems getting fanstoys than bombusbee

ShowZ, Terry, and Bababobo all seem to be on the bottom rung of FT's priorities. They never seem to know how many units they will receive until the product shows up in their warehouse nor what the final per unit cost will be. I think FT shops things around to US retailers as long as hard as possible and gives the remains to the Chinese sellers as a last resort. They always seem to be last in line for FT. Neither of them have had any info from FT on Acoustic Wave yet and only vague ideas that it'll be another week or so.

Bombusbee seems to keep on getting these sweet deals and undercutting US MSRP by 25% on some of these new figures. Except when they don't. Apache is available for $199.99+$14.50 shipping from Bombusbee, yet ShowZ has had him for $165 (now $174.99) shipped for the past 2 months. Odd how ShowZ and bababobo ($169) are both supplying the same figure for $40 less than Bombusbee. It's a freaking roulette game when it comes to predicting the best price. Bombusbee seems to fly under the FT radar as far as beating US MSRP since they were mainly a Taobao seller, but someday that may change.

I don't know if this has been touched on, it's been a while since I've read this thread in depth.

Since we're getting an Outback from Brawn, the possibility of a Pipes from Huffer exists, right?

I think it's a certainty now. They've touched non TFTM S3 now, so why not carry on?

I guess Hoist and Trailbreaker have also a similar mold and they are announced for the next year. So yes you're right. It would be easy to develop Pipes when they already have Huffer as a base.

Sure, the chance exists. Brawn to Outback happened so Huffer to Pipes may someday happen.

But these two bots ended up looking a lot different on screen. Given how much effort FT went to make Outback look unique, I think FT would put equal effort into Pipes and not just try a simple re-paint. Outback looks at least 60% new in bot mode even if the alt-modes are nearly the same. It may end up 3 years between Brawn and Outback so I'd figure a similar gap between Huffer and Pipes. There isn't much that can be re-used as far as arms/elbow-shoulders, head, chest, waist, legs that can be re-used here if FT wants to maintain their "premium" reputation.

It’s not even a question of “if”, it’s a matter of “when”.

Same with when they drop Windcharger for Tailgate and Gears for Swerve. Some ways down the line though yet.

    Including shipping it’s about that.

Seems like Bombusbee might be a good option. Acoustic is my first order with them.

That artwork adorning the front of the box must have come from 10 years ago. ROFL.

I believe this is a vintage Fans Toys from 2012, sir. Originally a robust design with extra details en vogue during that era, it has been allowed to mature for 9 years to reach peak toon-accuracy with a splash of toy references for the enhanced palate. Enjoy.
