So, now that everyone is debating on buying the repaints
I don't suppose any of you have a spare cyclops Volatus/Blastoff head youre willing to sell off
I wanted that cyclops bonus "error" head for my set, and TFsource still had the photos showing the bonus head, but then I guess the reissue didn't have it?
They only told me that after I asked, and only got word from the Ocular when they asked for me.
Willing to buy it off anyone who doesn't want theirs from the first run

 

Well, my con got pushed back again because of the worldwide event that shall not be named, so tonight my savings go to finally finishing the set.

 

I kept the general layout of his smears but had to adjust them to his different shuttle proportions anyway so following the exact shapes of the g2s was always impossible. I do wish the purple hadn't ended up reaching his nosecone as well as I specifically instructed it to not be applied there but seems our paint guy extended it a bit.

Hoping I can have the edge trimmed so the nose is left without it for the production copies.

 

Thanks for the explanation on that. On another note, I really like the way you colored the windows on G2 Blast Off, the shade of orange you used really pops with the darker trim (don't know what shade that is, but I like it). Makes him look like a properly evil space shuttle.

 

You know, I've only ever bought a 3P combiner piecemeal once before. Just like last time, there is a real feeling of accomplishment upon getting the final figure and completing the set. Kinda sad that my life's gotten to a point where that's where I get my victories but w/e.

 

yes this week but things are delayed due to a family emergency where I’m traveling back and forth between states for the next several days. I won’t know when I’ll be able to schedule at this time.

Hey did MMC say if they were going to have the better combiner joint ratchets already installed in the reissued Incursus or do we still have to replace it after the fact?

 

Reissue has the newest, better joint attached.

 

Does it help with stability?

I guess I'll find out in a couple of weeks when Brawl shows up

The Reissue for Brawl (in case you look for it) doesn't come with the extra joint, which would kind of suck if you had the old Incursus but got the Reissue of Brawl. Lol

Honestly, I would say that Onslaught was VERY secure. Almost all of his tabs are secure and I had to use quite a bit of force to undo everything for transformation, while my brawl wasn't loose, but everything was very smooth and way easier to manage.

You'll definitely see when you get them if you get figures like I got. To me, the quality is really good and as long as nothing falls onto a hardwood floor, I think you'll be good! Lol

I’m sure it will never happen but if I think hard enough maybe i can will into existence the combiner add-on feet but in green and yellow to help with stability  

 

I'm thinking about swapping out my UT Bruticus limb bots for these MMC bots.

Does anyone have any thoughts, or do any of you own both sets?

 

I only own the MMC boys, and I really like them. And while I don't own the UT bots, I am also the kind of guy that more often than not is going to tell someone they "should just go ahead and buy it."

 

I think it'd be an interesting option. Could be cheaper, too, if it was feet-only and not the whole upgrade set, as the goal would be to keep a toon look. Wouldn't need all those fancy silver paint applications either, could simply be molded in color.

 

Anyone else think this would be a good opportunity to give G2 Brawl a Megatron head and go for the G2 Megatron homage? (Don't know if it's been mentioned yet)
