Who would you consider the be the most evil Transformer in any media? The obvious answer would be Unicron since he's the tf version of Satan and is evil incarnate. Aside from him other candidates could be Megatronus, Overlord, Comics Shockwave or Aligned Megatron.

My choice however has to be Beast Machines Megatron. He would have to be one the most terrifying and down right unredeemably evil characters in any cartoon. He commited omnicide and murdered billions. Not just Maximals, but his own Predacon brethren. He sees everyone else as expendable and mere pawns to be used. He sees the extinction of the Cybertronian race as necessary in order for him to reach full power. He is utterly merciless, cruel and cares no nothing but himself. He thinks free will is a blight and that he should be the only sentient life form. For me at least he is the most unredeemable and evil villain in the tf series.

I would have to agree with that sentiment. Beast Machines Megatron was perhaps the most evil Transformer, barring Unicron. No other Cybertronian has come even close to matching his evil schemes and their results.

That's what is so striking go me about that incarnation of Megatron. He actually won! Only the efforts of the Maximals were able to free Cybertron, but that is because it was a rebellion leading to a coup de ta, not an actual conflict.

I suppose Unicron kinda would have to be, but besides him there are definitely quite a few psychos in the mix. Maybe G2 Liege Maximo? He claims to be the cause of a lot of the evil things going on in the transformers universe I suppose.

I feel like there's different way you could define evil and come up with different answers for them. You've got your evil deities in Unicron, war criminals in the likes of Megatron and Tarn, your fantasy fascists in the Functionalist Council, serial killers like Sunder.

But to me whenever thinking evil characters I almost always think of IDW Getaway. Is he evil deified or responsible for the deaths of millions? No. He's a manipulator and a gaslighter and probably a sociopath who really only cares about himself. I'm sure very few of us actually know Satan or any war criminals. But I bet a lot us know a Getaway. He's an everyday evil, a realistic evil. I've met a Getaway before.

Of course he also fed a bunch of his 'friends' brains to a serial killer to keep up appearances and then allowed the rest of his crew to be turned into sparkeaters to save his own skin neither of which is entirely realistic but the rest of my point stands.

Wreck-Gar. Absolutely diabolical and clearly his weirdness belies an incredible intellect that far exceeds even Unicron. The true monster of the '86 animated movie and season 3.

Idw 1.0 Megatron. He had concentration camps (Grindcore), a formalized process for destroying populated planets (Phase Sixers), and a torture themed death squad (The DJD). Not every continuity you see the Decepticons sink so low.

In his own words: "So long as you stand in my way—so long as anyone stands in my way, I will respond by killing. Murder on an industrial scale. Because in the final analysis, I would happily wade across a river of corpses, chest-deep in rust and grease and engine oil, just to crush the spark of the last Autobot standing. And I would not do so simply as a means to an end. No. I'd do it, Prime, because it would give me pleasure"

BM Megatron was not so evil. He wanted order and harmony. Just His oppressive version of it. The thing about BM Megatron there are times when you see his points of view and the line gets blurry. You find yourself rutting for Megs. Great story.

I Vote G1 Galvatron... Why? He trys (and almost succeeded) to Blow up Earth and Cybertron... At the same time... Why because he could... And it amused him todo so. That's just Evil.

This is an interesting question, mainly because it depends on which traits one considers to be indicative of true evil. For example, is a fanatic Megatron loyalist who kills out of obedience and blind zeal more or less despicable than a sheister like Swindle, who might have a lower body count but who has no loyalty to anyone or anything beyond his own self-advancement and will sell out anyone for a high enough price? Because of that, I'm going to divide the issue into two separate ones: Characters with astonishingly high death tolls and characters who, even without astronomical death tolls, are absolutely despicable.

    High Death Tolls
    • IDW Overlord: the most blatant of the "killing for enjoyment" type
    • IDW Tarn (and the DJD): easily the most disturbing fanatics to date
    • BW/BM Megatron: As others have pointed out, he almost managed to wipe out his own species!
    • IDW Megatron: Even though he's one of the more complex Megatrons, he's almost certainly got the highest overall death toll of any of them.
    • IDW Sixshot: We know he's killed entire planets, so I'd say he qualifies.
    • Regeneration One Megatron: He apparently killed a large percentage of Earth. Also, he used his own troops as mindless zombie warriors.
    • Jhiaxus: He wiped out all of San Francisco in G2.
    • Marvel Starscream: The Underbase Saga.
    • IDW Shockwave: Mass experimentation on sentient beings; almost killed the entire universe
    • Marvel UK Flame: RIP Kalis:
    • Congratulations for being the only Autobot on the list!

    Just Creepy
    • Most Other Starscreams (barring Armada and maybe IDW): Simply for his utter self-absorption. He has no interests beyond his own advancement.
    • Animated Lockdown: He dismembers his victims, then keeps their parts as trophies.
    • Aligned Shockwave: Mass experimentation on sentient beings.
    • G1 Vortex: The sadistic interrogator.
    • G1 Scrapper: No, really. According to his bio he builds Autobots into his buildings.
    • G1 Mixmaster: Apparently he uses corpses for building materials.
    • G1 Swindle: More for his utter lack of principle or loyalty than for any specific actions.
    • BW Tarantulas: Too many reasons to list. Including cannibalism!
    • Prime Airachnid: Even though I find her to be pretty boring on the whole, she's definitely vile enough to earn a mention here.
    • G1 Hun-Grr: I'm pretty sure he's a cannibal.
    • G1 Cutthroat: His bio states that he considers combining into Abominus to be too tame for his tastes.

Megazarak is by far one of the most evil characters in Transformers history

He poisoned his rival Scourge turning him into Toxitron, used the Robo-Smasher on several Autobots rebuilt Megatron into the undead Megabolt to gain control of the Titan Brave Maximus.

Another version of him beat the local Optimus Prime and left him for dead on the edge of the Sea of Rust after taunting him that both he and the Matrix would rot with him leading to the creation of Nemesis Prime.

After gaining the technology to travel to other universes he devastated and destroyed countless worlds across the multiverse, leaving them is such bad shape that those universes had to be erased from existence to prevent further damage.

I think Tarn would also be up there. Just out there hunting any defectors or turncoats, and rather than making it short and sweet, the torture has to commence beforehand. He seems to not care about teammates either. Just straight ripping off Kaon's head for displaying sympathy to pet.

    Beast Megatron is probably tops.

He was willing to rewrite time itself to give the Decepticons an upper hand...maybe. Then he killed everyone on Cybertron because that was the only way to be its ruler. That's some sadistic, fascist shit, right there that would make G1 Megatron blush.

Unicron would probably be second. I mean, the guy just eats worlds because he's hungry.

Honorable mention goes to Zarak from Headmasters. He detonated 90% of Cybertron by destroying Vector Sigma just to keep either the Autobots or Galvatron from gaining the upper hand when VS created Cybertonuron.

I go with my views on the characters, unrelated to any media.

While some are cruel and nasty, with objectives and views that are locked by who they are and their beliefs, the true evil characters has to do more with a lack of empathy than anything else, but cruelty, actions and such adds to the "evil".

    So I'd say:

4rd place is Unicron, as he's 100% committed to his goals and has no care about any Cybertronian. Guiding characteristic: unemotional

3nd place would be Megatron, he believes that Decepticons are/have the true power of Cybertron and that Autobots should serve and not lead, and his goals is to increase his dominance across the universe to ensure that he controls all sources of energy. His beliefs are founded from his predecessors/mentors, but in time, circumstances lead to deterioration to his mental state. Guiding characteristic: deluded altruism

2nd place is The Fallen. Like Unicron, he is committed to his goals and doesn't consider any Cybertronian of any value aside being a part of Cybertron, but completely expendable. His views are based on the fact that he sees himself as a god, but while he doesn't have any intent of ruling, he feels betrayed by the other 13 primes and wants to prove himself "right", but in time, his mindset turns towards anger and destruction to anyone that may be strong enough to opposes him. Guiding characteristic: Conceit

1st place goes to Overlord. Simple version: he suffers from delusion of grandeur, cares for nothing more than conquest at all cost. He is a complete militant with nothing else but dreams of an empire. While quite capable, he is so close to insanity and the belief that he is unstoppable due to his body/form's capacity. He actually takes pleasure in harming others so to prove his strength. Guiding characteristic: delusion of grandeur

    DSC03662.JPG

Honourable mention: Galvatron. Not a Megatron reformat, but individual character. Similar to both Megatron and Overlord in his mindset, but more towards being a warlord and wanting to force all Cybertronian to be part of his army to fight "the enemy" in his own way. Guiding characteristic: warmongering
