Honestly, I feel like BB kind of looks weird without door wings when he has a sports car/Camaro alt mode compared to being a Jeep, or a Beetle (maybe it's cause growing up he had door wings as a sports car in TF1-3 and TFP). Also, I could see them being able to collapse at times like in BB.

Indeed-the old guard (including, but not limited to, Lorenzo, Bay, and the bayverse team) at Paramount pretty much wrote themselves into a corner (pun intended), and have created a futile self-fulfilling prophecy where they keep being wishy-washy. The thing is, they could choose to get themselves out of this situation if they really committed to it. . .My $0.02. . .

Maybe or it could just be they want to do something different with a new villain. Cause if they wanted too they could just have other Decepticons that aren't Megatron come to Earth and be the main villain. Also, who knows the Terrorcons could be great villains and not be "garbage" and a "smokescreen".

Except you're not looking at this from Hasbro's point of view. You know, the toy company? Megatron sells product, period. And why do they want to do anything "new" when they haven't ever gotten Megatron right in the first place? The Decepticons barely got any development in the bay films as it was!

Not to mention the deck is stacked against the Terrorcons anyway since the Predacons are in and you can't seriously expect both factions to get sufficent development. To do so, given everything else we know is in the film, is recklessly ignorant of the fact Paramount couldn't even handle TWO factions simultaneously.

Six films by Paramount in literally point to them all being dead and wasted by the end of it as nothing more than disposable villains. The ONLY Decepticon who even survived all the films is Barricade, simply because he wasn't shown explicitly dying in the First, Third, and Fifth films.

It would be cool if they're filming vehicle mode POV shots.

I’m sure we will see a lot of him in the first act and part of the 2nd. Also I’m sure we’ll see him kick ass. I’m curious to see how he is and what he is up too 5 years later.

I personally wish Hasbro and Paramount would commit to a direction...I'm not crazy about the "sitting on the fence" approach either...but to be fair it is possible to make a story loosely connect to another story. It doesn't have to be as black and white as "direct prequel or hard reboot".

Film and television are full of series that aren't terribly concerned with tight inter-movie/inter-episode continuity. James Bond, Doctor Who (a lot of old shows tend to forget things that happened in past episodes), even Star Wars to an extent. Heck, even JRR Tolkien retconned some stuff from The Hobbit when he wrote Lord of the Rings (enough that he had to release a George Lucas-ified version of the Hobbit to jive with LOTR). Loose sequels have always been a thing.

But you have to look at the larger picture...Megatron has been in five movies. Whether or not they've gotten him right is up for debate (and honestly pretty subjective), but eventually audiences get tired of seeing the same character. It can even become a bit silly after a while. I have no doubt we'll see Megatron in another Transformers movie at some point...probably in the Cybertron prequel. I actually think it's good that they're taking a little break from him. This brand could use more big villains, most antagonists tend to be Megatron's henchmen.

The cast for the movie feels kind of small yet expansive like a Star Wars movie. Sure you got Luke, Anakin, Leia, Obi Wan, Han, Din and The Sith, like Palpatine, Dooku, Darth Maul, Ventress, but then you have other groups of aliens or organizations, like the Gungans, Wookies, Separatists army, Jabba's Gang, The Guild, Crimson Dawn, and the Empire.

Yup that will be his next appearance since the film is a Optimus and Megatron's friendship film and all we have to do is wait a year to see him on the big screen again in 2023. And he will probably be G1 looking with differences with him being in a CGI animated Cybertron origin film

I'm pretty sure this has been said before, but I think Hasbro/Paramount will never say anything on whether they're going ahead with a reboot or not. I think they'll leave it up the the audience's interpretation. Don't get me wrong, BB and ROTB being in a new continuity works a lot more fluidly than having them in the Bayverse, but they will probably both work well enough to be considered apart of the Bayverse. Ultimately, it should be up to fan interpretation.

Doing so would only to be their own detriment in the end, if they wish to continuously shoot themselves in the foot for very little in return I suppose that's their prerogative, it's still a bad idea. This series of films is in desperate need of a clean slate, by refusing to do so they're only delaying its eventual demise.

But that locks out so much. Are you just not going to have a film that takes place after 2007? The Bayverse can't be explained within the context of the original five films, since I already posted how Prime's first words in the first film literally state Earth is an 'unknown' planet...but by the end of TLK we've seen he's been on the planet almost 700 years before the events of the first film.

Plus, it's shitty writing to just pretend that your narrative simply doesn't have a bad ending where the majority of characters die because humans ultimately will always turn on the aliens saving their asses.

So? That's not an excuse for ignoring a massive continuity problem by plugging their ears and going "LA LA LA CAN'T HEAR YOU". That would be more reason to make sure the writing of the film is actually, y'know, good, and a film that focuses on one or two concepts well is better than shoving in a ton of ideas and all of them being done poorly. ROTB is strongly looking like the latter.
