excellent quality of equipment. two saws. two identical saws instead of a rocket launcher
I have some information from bmb about the reasons for the packaging. (why looks like wj design)

I cannot confirm or deny, I did not hold it in my hands. but I have already posted in the last thread many posts with images on the correct scale. especially about the scale with Prime BA. when i receive the figurine i can compare. but now to the point - I received information that they chose this design for a reason. and not for deception. at least the picture and the light in the eyes immediately suggests that this is bmb. with this package, they wanted to show that they belong to the scale of the figures from wj. this mpm10 fits well both ls03 and mpm04 ba. but it is more suited to the scale of figures wj. the packaging seems to say "hey guy, I'm wj, buy me to the wj scale and don't hesitate!"

So they fully knew what they were doing and tried to ride WJ's reputation.

his nose actually has a small protrusion along the frame. This is a very small size. For viewing, I attached a face model of the original ILM studio 2007 movie. you can see if this is scaled up, we practically shouldn't see the indentation. I think it was done in vain. in fact, in the scene of the 2007 film, when the face is shown in close-up (in the scene there is very bright sunlight, one light source), then we see a black frame from this ledge. perhaps the designer of the model thought that there was a big hole there. but in fact his nose is almost flat. it's a mystery.

in fact, I am very depressed by the sculptures and shapes of its details. reproduction of a copy from the original is very poor. I know that the right designers scan the model, then use this form to create a new 3D model of the correct shape with the correct edges and shapes. I think there was either a big rush or a bad designer. the details are made roughly, especially the details of the head, "muddy" edges, thick layers of plastic... In general, you know, the larger the figure, the more detailed it should be! in other words, if you increase the size, increase the detail. For example, take the original MPM 10 and reduce it to the size of a lighter, and its detail will seem fantastic to you, everything is worked out so that you can look at it under a magnifying glass. But if you take the same mpm10 and increase it to the size of a real airplane or a car, you will see what shitty detailing, what thick wings, what fat lines and ugly fat shapes. etc. in other words, if you made a a large figure, please add new precise details, add general detail, correct curves and irregular shapes of details, make them more accurate, but they did not.

I can tell you more about how it works - for example, you make a figure 15cm high, and in this scale, for example, the thickness of its wing will be 0.3 mm. But there is a problem - your equipment has a limitation (when you cast plastic parts), and the thickness of the part cannot be less than 1mm, otherwise there will be a high chance of marriage. Thus, you are going to reduce the accuracy and make the wing thickness 1mm instead of 0.3mm. Everything turned out well/ because you had no other choice. So step 2. Now you want to make the shape 3 times bigger. You take the same model that you made earlier. Based on the scale, now the thickness of your wing should be 0.9 mm (we are increasing everything by 3 times 0.3 *3). But in our model, which has already been made for a smaller scale, the wing thickness has already been made as 1mm, we increase everything by 3 = in the model, the thickness is 3mm! Logically, we have to redo the whole model again and make it the right size based on the new size. But we are too lazy, or there is no time to do everything again, and we just launch into production a model enlarged by 3 times with a wing thickness of 3mm. It's ugly. And even the equipment made it possible to make the thickness of the part 1 mm. We just didn't do it. Sadly

thanks for the writeup and the images, it really does seem like BMB is getting lazier now that WJ is in trouble. Their Sideswipe has very thick plastic, then now when you compare it to their Dino the plastic seems almost bendy and fragile. They do the minimum amount of work needed to call their products "improved" or "lightly modified" when in fact they could do much more if they want. This coupled with the QC issues make me wish another company would try doing Bayverse products KO.

Is that the Model Wizard Megatron? I'm thinking of getting one and if it scales well with Starscream, it might push me over the edge.

Yeah it is. I believe it’s Weijiangs too so definitely get it if you can find stock for it. Probably the best scale for BA Prime and OS Starscream.

It's tempting to get, but i'd prefer to get another ROTF BMB Megs to go with him-

sadly my current BMB megs (weathered) had it's mushroom peg on the cannon arm to shear off, and even right now it's already unfixable

waiting for both a new ROTF megs and the inevitable tattooed deco of Starscream in that scale will be marvelous

The WJ Model Wizard is the best value of any figure Ive ever bought. Got mine for $70 shipped, and it is both massive and well made.

Yeah it's looking likely, as ShowZ still have him in stock. The Optimus in my collection is the ROTF Leader, so about a head or so shorter than BA, so I'm trying to determine whether Model Wizard scales well with him or is too big. From what I can tell, it would be just about right.

Is there a general consensus on the quality of this figure? Or is it too early to tell? I wouldn't mind picking this up, just based on the size but if it has bad materials and bad QC, then I'll have to skip
