That is good that we can swap the 2 and 3 with a screwdriver. Wonder if they'll do a "1" to swap out the T.
Do we have any updates on this or is there a thread somewhere that I can follow for this? Doesn't need to be on tfw
Unlikely. They were informed of the numbering issues months ago, but still couldn't be bothered to tell the workers to swap which one is attached to which arm at the factory. I certainly don't expect them to do any re-molding if that was their response. Also, the T seems to be molded with the torso, not a small separate bit.
Yeah, I was looking at it after I made that post and remembered they said that they would fix it. Part of me is thinking of just cancelling my pre-order and live vicariously through those who are buying it. Edit: Just watched the video and I'm leaning towards keeping the pre-order. It does seem fun to have a Voltron that transforms from cubes to lions to Voltron.
Maybe they're trying to fix the stilt legs on Voltron. I like the stylized look, but those proportions look really bad.
I’ll be swapping the number tags on red and green when it arrives. Too bad about black lion’s “1” tho.
It's happening! Entertainment Earth just ran my card for my SOC Voltron GX-71R! There's a $15 off $99 promo code also, so you can get him for $315 shipped, promo code: 2103212. Expires Feb 28, 2022. I missed out on him ~2018. Guess if I miss out this time, I can try again in 2023.
If you pre-ordered at regular price and they didn’t fulfill your order yet, it’s no-hassle cancel, and you can re-order with the coupon. I pre-ordered from day one, but cancelled to use the coupon in recent weeks, lol. GX-71 shipped and scheduled to deliver on 11/3!
This looks awesome and I have now placed a preorder. Any idea of this companies overall quality? I've never heard of them before.
You know, I had zero interest in that Voltron toy that transforms into lions and cubes, because I really had no interest in the new trend in toys where they transform into cubes. I just completely dismissed it. I watched the Mandarin-language review posted on the previous page, and wow! This figure looks amazing! Aesthetically, it has some stylized proportions, which I'm actually cool with. I like new styles in decades-old designs. The cube gimmick doesn't seem to interfere with the figure at all. If I so choose, I could just ignore the cubes altogether. Or I could pretend it's the lions in some kind of hibernation mode. In lion mode and combined mode, this figure seems to be the most-articulated Voltron ever! And it won't bankrupt me! I just preordered.
Neither have we. It’s a brand new outfit but whether the designers are affiliated with any 3P companies is an unknown. The very first video review mentioned the feel is identical to MStoys plastic quality.
