Dude, you repainted Sentinel yourself? That is jaw-dropping. Looks like he jumped right off the screen! The amount of weathering is perfect. Awesome job!

I totally feel you. On one hand whether Hasbro properly markets a figure has no bearing on being able to enjoy the toy itself (and I'd much rather have bad marketing and a good toy than good marketing and a bad toy), but as it all keeps piling up you can't help but feel a little disappointed or even neglected.

This has been going on for so long, I remember during Toy Fair 2020 (right before COVID hit), they were revealing the Earthrise figures and gushing over Cliffjumper and that oil platform guy and then they get to Studio Series and just blow through the slides as quickly as possible. Sentinel Prime barely got a namedrop.

I know we've ultimately been treated very well by Studio Series for close to 4 years now, but as our "share" of the line continues to dwindle and the marketing just continues to go all-in on G1 (to the point where it is now actively negatively affecting other continuities who are getting their first toys in years, like TF Prime), is so dismaying to see.

Thank you! Yes, he is fully repainted, there were things that bugged me, and it was my first weathered bot, I believe the others now will have to get the same treatment.

Man, i love the sculpting on the mpm figures. Unfortunately, takara inverted the colours on starscream for some reason, so had to get the ko, but man this thing is impressive.

Only one MPM this year, Bumblebee Movie Prime. Rumor from reputable leaker about MPM Blackout, perhaps not next, but in the near future.

Gotcha thanks! Now that you mention it I have seen prime, just wasn’t interested. Blackout does have my interest though.

He’s confirmed by Jtprime, so he’s very likely next.

Emgo has already pointed this out, but it's very funny that Jolt is just hanging out inside his alt mode. Knees up, hands behind his head.

I'm usually not the one to buy repaints/slight remolds, but this one is too damn pretty. Plus they look good together.

Okay my sweet friends, I finally have what I've been wanting to show off for ages now. So a few months ago I got the Mechtech Big Boy Ironhide for my collection and well...something was missing. I just couldn't open this dusty beast until I could find what I was looking for:

    20211029115243~2.JPG

Ah yes. A 10 year old upgrade kit that was impossible to find unless I wanted to pay RTB $75 for one without the packaging. By grace, another user was selling one for a fantastic price, so I got these giant canons to go on this ugly brute. As an Ironhide collector it was my duty to get it!

Now I can take Ironhide out and give him the dusting he deserves.

I certainly will as soon as I can. I've seen the price for one NIB go between $80-100+ (this was at least earlier in the year.) I managed to get one on FB Marketplace for $50, but he's definitely dusty.

If you ever go for the upgrade kit, good luck. RTB had one left in stock with no box for $75 (including shipping) so it's a pricey endeavor. Overall, this project cost me $100, which I'll say is fair for something you really want. Anyway, thanks for the response! :)
