Not looking good even if they are intending to reboot next year, but at least they are paying everybody for another couple of months and letting them work elsewhere in the meantime. Can't say i'm surprised though as they've been fading away for a few years now and their niche in the market was gradually taken away by Haitch NXT, AEW starting up and NJPW operating directly in the US.

 

I keep thinking back to Bischoff's plans to reboot WCW after a hiatus back in 2001 and how well that went. Of course he never actually bought the company but yeah

 

The RoH collapse isn’t surprising with the lack of live events and what not. Plus, they’re effectively the fifth biggest wrestling company, as TNA is outshining them, AEW is #2, and more people go out of their way to find NJPW than turn on their TV at whatever weird time RoH comes on their local Sinclair network.

Rush is trying to start a Lucha promotion and a bunch of top Luchadores were signed to RoH. Rush, Bandido, Flamita, and Dragon Lee alone are worth their weight in gold for that sort of thing. Andrade is close to a lot of them and warned them away from WWE last time Rush and them were able to be signed. I’m guessing TNA and AEW are gonna shine soon on the Lucha front

Just caught up with Dynamite, great match from Deeb and Shida.

Hoping we get a Pac/Andrade/Black/Cody four way out of that stuff.

Also caught Dark for the first time in a while this week and the new format is very NXT circa 2012/13, hope they finally keep building that into a fully featured wrestling show to give folks more to do when they aren't on Dynamite and Rampage. Did laugh that Riho and Bryan didn't realise there was no ramp until they were already into their entrances. 2 Fast 2 Fuego was fun as well.

 

its going around that it was originally supposed to be a squid game theme for the elite and they had to swap same day due to licensing.

so crazy because the ghostbuster thing just worked naturally and was a great finish to have hangman as staypuft. shows you aew can change last minute and still be good, and their talent can deliver the content no matter what. probably one of my favorite halloween shows in recent memory.
