It was on the premium pulse stream, not sure where to watch it, maybe on the pulse YouTube channel?

 

FYI for anyone that ordered through Zavvi - think I saw one post asking about payment a page or 3 back - they are taking payment on the dispatch phase of the order, so we're talking 12 to 18 months from now? Just In case anyone was sitting on the cash waiting for it to be taken.

I'll say this about the brown box of Unicron, it's unique given just how massive that things is. However, it would have been very awesome to have a transformers Unicron box with artwork and all that jazz(past tense). I wonder how much of the budget they had to spend if they've had.

As for the HasLab Victory Saber, didn't see it. Was it mentioned in passing or physically teased?

It's a high probability that it will have whatever artwork there is currently, from WFC to Studio Series, that you get in current transformers toy lines. However I do hope since the numbers basically blow it away by a couple of thousand from the last tier, that HasLab would spend a little extra on the packaging to feel like its more unique and a collectors like item, just one perspective.

 

I do think artwork on the boxes would help alleviate issues with the whole Hubcap/Rotorstorm thing that was happening on Amazon. That doesn't mean a figure couldn't end up in the incorrect box, still, but it would certainly add another step to the assembly line to help reduce the chances of such a thing happening again. Honestly, I wouldn't mind them going full Selects and selling everything that way and make 'em all "factory direct" from Pulse. I wouldn't have to worry about store exclusives anymore, no more having to waste gas, etc.

Oh, well. Maybe one day.

 

That and retail support might not be the best. The minimum amount needed for this wasn’t that high and I believe that directly plays a part into the cost. If anything the best thing about Haslab is that you’re guaranteed to get what you’re paying for without having to resort to trying to hunt for it in a physical store, somehow making it into a que to order one online while going against scalper bots nor facing a delay due to backorder.

I didn’t like that crowdfunding was resorted to for Victory Saber but there are definitely benefits from it that I appreciate(all listed above).

 

I'm not sure he has to "disprove" Dezarus being Deathsaurus to have sufficiently demonstrated that there exist real, and not strictly arbitrary, reasons to argue that they aren't the same while maintaining that CW Fellbat and Ironbison are still Hellbat and Killbison.

Seriously, it's not mere "mold reuse." Fellbat is recognizably Hellbat. Ironbison is recognizably Killbison. These guys reused molds, too. Even the CW Technobots bore at least a passing resemblance to the G1 Technobots (although I did prefer the UW versions in most cases, and do agree that Scattershot is a stretch).

But CW Dezarus really bears little to no resemblance to any previous version of Deathsaurus seen thus far.

My take is that it is CW Deathsaurus just a different take on the character. Don’t think you can argue he 100% isn’t Deathsaurus but it isn’t fair to say it’s the same as other Deathsaurus’s.

 

If that's your stance, that's fine. I'm not trying to convince anyone they're not the same guy (especially when Hasbro intends them to be), so much as I'm mostly arguing against the ideas that 1) Fenrys didn't "disprove" identity, which I don't see as his intention, and 2) that one can't argue Dezarus' identity if one one accepts Fellbat's and Ironbison's.

According to the new QnA thing we should expect regular updates on Victory Saber. Don’t know how often but is nice to hear!

I very much appreciated that it was a simple box that little to no budget (beyond the basic cost of a custom box) was wasted on. Because the first (and indeed only) thing I did with that box, after removing Unicron, was dispose of it. It was in my possession for mere minutes between picking it up at EB Games and getting it home and opening it. It had one single purpose, to contain the toy, and that was it. I didn't need any pretty pictures or expensive ink/toner used on it.

And I'd quite like Victory Saber box to be the same.
