TCP already put up their listings yesterday so no, it's not a TF Source exclusive. You can also PO at PSX.

It's also up on Chosen Prime where I preordered mine, surprisingly not an exclusive anywhere since I think it's also on PSX. Maybe they decided not to tie it to convention exclusive based on both inconsistent production/shipping scheduling due to the continuing pandemic, and the desire to keep interest high by releasing the team close together versus the continuing wait for Fansproject G2 Motormaster

Well I have no self control. Preordered the g2 set on chosen prime.

really hope they fixed vortex’s upper body.

I would really love to see an upgrade set for Onslaught to fix the stupid arms. I feel it would be pretty easy to move the panel that gets in the way of the bicep swivel to the shoulder flap (make it fold in) and add an extra joint and tab to that flap to make it sit farther back in robot mode so that there’s more room for the arms to move properly.

Thanks, guys! I just pre-ordered the entire set on TF-Source but I'm hoping Show-Z lists them soon as well.

At a lower price than TCP (but a higher price than what the G1 figures cost originally)

I'm sure it depends on where you live, but for me it's almost a wash. BBTS will add tax to my order and in the end somewhere like TCP will still save me a couple of bucks.

Yeah. I'm in Oregon, so no sales tax for me. Does TCP charge shipping? BBTS's $4 is hard to beat unless it's free, lol.

Not tax from TCP, and free shipping or orders $150 and up.

TCP offers free shipping on orders over $150. Usually have to use their Roller Stash system (POL) to take advantage of it.

TCP ships via USPS, so it can get a bit spendy (personally shipping has cost me $11-17 in the past), but they also have free shipping for shipments with $150+ in stuff.

Hello, long time lurker, first time poster in this thread.

so essentially… I’m a toon collector, I was holding out for FansToys for a bruticus, he’s my favorite combiner, but I’ve since given up hope on that. So I was just wanting to get some opinions on how it fits and what people think of this set

What's the deal with the G2 upgrade kit, I don't see it listed anywhere. Or was that the original G1 color kit on him (feet and head)?

G2 set doesn't have a separate upgrade kit. Onslaught comes with the toy accurate parts installed, with no toon counterpart, and the legs each come with a 'shoe'

I assume that these guys are worth the purchase? I was ready to be content with my warbotron but I saw the g2 version of these guys this morning and now I want them.

    'toon collector here too.

Honestly they don't have the same heft as majority of FT stuff but they're still good although I've had a few sloppy bits of qc, particularly on Vortex. Combined mode is small, he'll look tiny if you've gone in on FT Superion and Menasor. If you don't have any other 'mp' combiner then that doesn't matter. There is a way around it though, ppl do kits so you can mix and match different sets. The most cartoon accurate overall in all 3 modes, arguably, would be MMC limbs + Zeta Onslaught and the beauty of that is you then get the combined mode size and cartoon aesthetic too:

I couldn't personally display the stock Bruticus on my shelf, just wouldn't look right to me. Others don't mind the size difference, whatever floats anyone's boat I guess at the end of the day but from a pure cartoon perspective, especially with Bruticus and his different aesthetic onscreen, optics matter.

    I don't know, 18 inches over 0 is quite a bit taller.

    Touché!

Ok, I'll rephrase. IF FT ever complete, the size difference will be jarring. It's an interesting situation tbh, will FT get another pass or will ppl start to get pissed off with them. I hope they do pull it off for all those that have sunk ridiculous amounts of money into each set so far.
