I'm weak, I did it. I pre-ordered Optimus from Amazon.

    I also understand that feeling.

I haven’t succumbed to Laser Optimus yet, but I have preordered three others of these legacy figures… and I’m kinda eyeing the others. And this was after telling myself I’d wind down after WFC.

I haven't bought a TF toy in a couple of years, but I've been wanting to buy one lately. Laser Prime broke me.

I hope they make Minerva a Headmaster.

Considering in Siege we had Apeface and Snapdragon as headmasters I see no reason for Minerva not to be!

Pretty much in for the whole line - need to finish catching up on Kingdom but that was a big comeback for me on collecting.
Interesting that they're renaming Generations to Legacy but keeping the general style and all that; would've liked a more Classics approach where we got new designs that weren't attached to anything specific, but I dunno if the fandom would even be interested in that anymore, haha.

Anyway, love that Laser Prime. The rest are cool and will fit right in, but he's a straight vibe.

Something's I noticed when reading Bulkhead's listing on BBTS is that his transformation is 30 steps. Pretty interesting to me because it looks like a pretty simple one, especially compared to Arcee who has a transformation around 20 steps. Both seem like they'll be pretty fun to transform.

The fact that all sites are saying this are coming in July is worrysome. I expected them to be everywhere by March as usual. Could this be the result of the shipping issues occurring lately?

Yeah, while I’m digging the look Bulkhead seems to be a figure that’ll be loads better in hand! Can’t wait to get him.

Probably. Others have suggested that they may end up releasing early and July is the latest date.

If Hasbro makes the other 2 insecticons any kind of exclusive, I quit.

I think it's still Generations. Generations seems to the umbrella name for what most of us would consider the main TF toylines - Prime Wars, War For Cybertron, Studio Series, Selects, and now Legacy. Like Prime Wars and War for Cybertron, Legends will be the main line with three sublines for three years, but its all still Generation.

Stuff like Cyberverse, Botbots, and Masterpiece are not under the Generations umbrella.

As of now we actually don’t know if it’ll be a trilogy. It might just be Legacy for now.

For the most part exclusives are not original molds. I can't see any existing figures that could be remolded into Shrapnel or Bombshell, so I'm guessing they'll be main releases. I could totally see them releasing an exclusive three pack with a slight deco changes as troop builders.

My bad. Didn't realize they did not use the Evolution subtag as had been rumored.

It's a bit convoluted. Generations used to be a single line, then they put Stuido Series under the Generations banner. Some are theorizing that Legacy is the new branding under Generations for the non movie line moving forward so that they don't have to rebrand every year. A stable name is something that has been missing compared to other Hasbro lines like Marvel Legends (the brand has been active for 20 years across 2 companies), Star Wars Black Series, Transformers Generations Studio Series, etc etc. If Legacy is the new branding then moving forward it would be Transformers Generations Studio Series and Transformers Generations Legacy, and then the only line getting constantly rebranded would be exclusives and the media tie in lines.

Yeah it is confusing. For all we know it is a trilogy. It was leaked to be but now it appears not to. At the end of the day, I personally don’t care too much. As long as we get sick toys, yeah?

Definitely after Drag Strip myself, and all the other Stunticons. Just hope they will actually be released at UK retail, rather than all being online/non-UK exclusives.

Wondering if they will do Animated...
Bulkhead looks pretty good as a figure, but not so much as a Prime Bulkhead homage, I think. I hope they doesn't make changes to some iconic designs, like Soundwave (but I would like a earthmode to Prime Megs).
Arcee really could be better. Lack of her little wings, blades that are just blue semicircles, and that wheels hanging at her legs...
The other figures doesn't interest me, but I hope they pleased who was expecting for them.

The fact they are still having one (or two with Energon Monsters) line wide gimmicks makes me think they haven't given up the rotating branding for this line. You don't see that with SW Black, Marvel Legends, or Studio Series (though there may be themed waves, that's not really the same thing).
