I've thought about changing to the Mt from time to time, but paying the late fee then going to toyhax for a set of downbeat stickers has caused me to stick with TNR.

He's the right price at £44 about what I paid for him a few years back. He works for me in my mp collection don't feel like I need anything else from a Jazz, not worth more than that price though due to those dam shoulders and hardly any ankle tilt. If you have a better budget go for make toys or wait for fans toys.

I went through hell to get him too got scammed 3 times on eBay by reputable sellers that went rouge felt like it wasn't meant to be, so probably due to this when I did finally get him after 3 times of ebay reimbursement I'm not in a hurry to part with him anytime soon :)  20210909_182710.jpg

I asked in the ShowZ thread whether they were getting the normal or international version but then I read the last handful of pages of this thread and it looks like maybe the international version never actually existed and every Agent Meister out there has all the sponsor logos - is that true?

Oof that sucks, even if you get your money back it always feels crappy and wastes a lot of your time.

I was interested in the "international version" in the past, too, but I never found a copy or heard of any place that carried it.

Nah, I wanted to be sure I didn't get the international version. If the only version that ever existed was the normal one, them I don't need to worry.

If you can track down one of the old BT accessory launchers then you can kinda get them to fit well enough for display.

You should be safe. I've never seen any confirmation of the international version or any site listing that for sale ever.

I remember as well there was a lot of talk about the toon version but it never actually happened as a retail item.
People were trying to remove the decals themselves snd make "clean" versions but disastrous results I think

Just got the reissue. He's... ok. The shoulders are annoying but the biggest disappointment for me is the feet - they technically have some side to side articulation but the shin plates are so close to them that you can barely use any of that tilt and they have nothing front to back. His chest is too broad but that's just kind of one of the things you have to accept with Jazz unless they give him a collapsing chest like Maketoys. Would've been nice if they'd brought his shoulders in a little to compensate. And his hands are so tiny, it makes me wonder if he's actually supposed to be painted orange instead of white. I would've preferred him with a silver belly and shins (chrome would be even better) but I'd seen the pics so I knew what I was getting.

But he's nice enough otherwise. He won't be winning any posability awards, but he's got all the details a G1 Jazz should have. And his accessories are great. I especially enjoy the chromed grappling hook and horns even though it just reminds me how much I wish his grey parts were chrome/silver. I had to loosen the screws on the doors to get them to slide back but after that they worked fine.

Question: how exactly does he go into toy mode? I figured out the shoulders for toon mode but I can't figure out how to the them or his torso to hold together in toy mode with the wheels out. The wheels sit under the shoulder connectors in toon mode, holding the pegs up into the little indents but with the wheels on top, I can't get them to hold at all. It kinda' looks like they're supposed to clip onto the pin the wheels slide back and forth on but the little clampy parts just wouldn't fit - the space is too narrow front to back.

Now I need to modify my 3d printed Jazz rocket launcher to fit him - can't have a toy version of Jazz without a rocket launcher.

Just got mine. He is somewhere between MP12 (Sideswipe) and MP17 (Prowl) which is great.

Great vehicle details, solid robot mode. Do the shoulders lock in perfectly? No but neither do the shoulders lock in with MP17 so how much can I possibly complain, considering he was cheaper.

If you are okay with him being in the same league as early carbot MPs (I am), than he is perfect.

You are on the right track, the clamp areas do fit around the pin of the slider just not both together. When I first got mine and looked at that I thought you center the slider and the clamps would fit around it but within the bracket, but no, it's too narrow. You slide the wheel assembly either fully to the front or back and fit the shoulder around the slider and the end of the bracket so only one side is clamped on the pin while the other side hangs under the front or rear of the fender. It is by no means a good fit but works better with the slider in the forward position with the overhanging shoulder area under the front bumper/fender. There isn't as much room towards the rear so things end up more cockeyed. Aside from the shoulders not a good fit for the toy look, the wheels provide support when they are folded under and when they are out, the vertical slider bars that are at his back can freely move now and make it more difficult to get things secured.

Thanks! I don't think I like the sound of that and I didn't really like his look with the wheels out so I'm just going to ignore that bit of toy accuracy when I display him.

Yeah I feel the same. I tried it both ways and it doesn't feel or look right. I checked repeatedly to see if I was doing something wrong but it was right. If you look through T&R's product shots with wheels out you can see it even though it's not the clearest, but its visible how crooked everything mounts. That part of the design is just not good.

I think this guy's pretty good for what he is, which is an affordable MP Styled Jazz. Yeah the shoulders kind of suck but if you manage to do some wiggling then the tabs can hold in the shoulders from the inside. It's unfortunate he lacks any real foot articulation due to how his transformation works but I'm not TOO bugged. I love his StUnNinG AuTo MoDe, but he's staying in bot mode because transforming him the first time was scary.

Also I managed to lose one of the speakers somehow. They were on my bed but I moved my arm, I knocked em off and they just vanished. Oh and the sticker did not come with Jazz I just was cleaning and found them under my bed. Is it a good idea to cut the tabs on the rear wheel wells that sit under the rear windows off just to keep the translucent plastic pieces from breaking in the future?

So here's a list of issues with my copy. Most are minor but annoying.

    1) the point where the feet sit in car mode leave a gap between the spoiler and the rear vents. It seems to be a molding issue since the sides sit flush but the top doesn't so there's no way to close the gap.

    2) the tab that tabs the back of the feet in robot mode is way too tight and wouldn't go in even after shaving them down and applying exclusive force

    3) the neck doesn't tab in like at all. Even after I shaved the slot.

    4) the speakers don't fit in his right shoulder at all. I haven't modified that yet.

To be honest I think the rear wheels are worse than the shoulders just because of the mostly useless tab that flexes the thin clear plastic piece it sits under. The wheel is already secured by a tab and the feet in car mode so the tab is just there to eventually break the clear plastic piece off.

Has there been any news of a Stepper/Ricochet recolor of this guy?
