I really just want Red Spider for my movie shelf as Coronation Starscream. He would look good with my Gewalt Blitzwing. Deformation crimson wings will be on my 1984 shelf

I want to see some in hand pics before I decide if I still want these guys. I like their size, I think it's great because I've always liked the seekers on par size wise with Megatron and Prime since they mostly looked that way in the toon, maybe a forehead shorter. So these guys are pushing the limit since they are exactly the same height as those others. My Shockwave is Quakeblast and u love his look over the toon and he is more appropriately sized as well since he was also shown in the toon to be taller than what Takara has been doing. Anyway, over the past couple months as I have looked at pics of Zetas seekers I am wondering about the surface details and I keep thinking now that it looks similar to a mainline siege figure which there is nothing wrong with that but i can't decide if i want something that has the look of an oversized chug more than an MP figure. Maybe it's just the pics we've had and it will look better as people get theirs.

My Starscream has shipped. Can't wait to go back and look at my years of complaining about this not being released. I did that with Locke and look how that turned out.

So we don't actually have side-by-sides of the botmode for these with MP11 or MP52 yet to we? Just digi-approximations?

Nope, but their cone heads are the same size so everyone generally knows their size already.

After watching that video it pretty much gave me what I was lookin for and I think I will be picking these up along with the coneheads. I'm not crazy about the stepped edge of the nose cone to the cockpit in alt mode and I think the wings sit up a little too high in bot mode but it is what it is, I like the rest and I thought the transformation was pretty cool.

My Skywarp arrived. Eh....I got what I paid for.

I have all three Toyworld Coneheads. At the time, I thought the Toyworld Coneheads were the best Coneheads toys out there. Considering the release of MakeToys' Coneheads seems dubious, the Toyworld Coneheads are probably still the best completed set of Conehead toys out there. But even when the Toyworld Coneheads were new, the mold had some problems.

All three of my Toyworld Coneheads had missiles on a hair trigger, so I modified all the guns not to fire. Easy fix. The F-15 Seekers have non-firing null rays, so that problem is solved.

The Toyworld Coneheads had really bad tolerance problems. There just isn't enough room to move the wings around while transforming, especially at the part where you tab the wings into and out of the main jet fuselage. I still can't see a way to tab and untab the wings from the main body without bending some plastic. Even worse, the way the wings rotate up and down is more-or-less the same mechanism as the MP-3 mold, and so all the weight of the wings are on a very small hinge. I solved this on my Toyworld Coneheads by shortening the nubs on the wing that tab into the holes on the main jet fuselage. The wings don't tab in as tightly anymore, and I still need to bend some plastic to transform the wings, but now I need to bend the plastic....less. I'll probably need to do this on my Zeta Skywarp too.

The "fit" of the parts is also not great. Some of the joints are super tight. As in, the fit is so tight, the plastic makes squeaking noses. Most prevalent in the knee swivel and the bicep swivel. The knee swivels are so tight, I wasn't even aware it had a knee swivel. Other joints are super loose, no matter how tight I tighten the screws, such as the top hinge of the knee joint. It's particularly scary to make Skywarp open and close a fist. The fingers are all too tight, and I'm worried I'll snap the fingers off. I'm getting PTSD flashbacks of my Toyworld Kingorilla, which did have several fingers snap off at the ball joint. I'm wondering if there's some mold degradation, because the "fit" of the parts was just right on all three of my Toyworld Coneheads, which are years old, and yet all joints are still just right. Not too tight, not too loose.

I really wanted to love Zeta's F-15 mold. I honestly think the engineering of the Conehead mold is quite good. When the Conehead mold was new, the engineering was downright AMAZING. Finally, an innovation on the MP-3 mold, which was already a decade old at the time. Most of the problems with tolerances in the Conehead mold could have been solved without major redesigns. Other problems can be solved with only minor redesigns, such as an outward rotating hinge at the wings, like the NewAge Seeker mold. I was really hoping the Zeta F-15 would fix the problems of the Toyworld Coneheads, but there appears to be no progress or evolution. Rather, what you see is what you get: It's exactly the same as the Toyworld Conehead mold, but with a traditional Seeker head and F-15 kibble instead of the fictional jet kibble of the Coneheads.

Ah well. It only cost me $83. I got my money's worth.

I'm probably in a minority here but now I kind of want to see an Acidrain or Sunstorm from this mould.
