It’s not a sequel. It’s not Dune 2: Electric Boogaloo. It’s the second part of the same story. It’s a perplexing choice on something we all understood to be a two part story. And you did it so I assumed you knew.
Was there any doubt though? I mean, isn't the movie movie supposed to be like half of the first book?
The first movie had to be successful first. Otherwise, you're left with a The Girl With a Dragon Tattoo situation.
But The Girl With THe Dragon Tattoo was the entire book. They just hadn't adapted the other two novels. Dune was like IT where they split it up.
Nice to see the second part was officially greenlite. Now the wait begins, but at least we know it's coming.
