5 episodes of Gone Fishing to go and I'm fully caught up....probably going to start from the beginning again fairly soon 'cos it's so funny.

Bit of a concern about my ticker as I've been getting one or two brief chest pains lately and for the past week or so have been feeling very odd. I'll mention it at my diabetes review on Thursday because hopefully I'll get some sense there as talking to my folks was pointless as they dismissed it as me making things up because I'm mentally ill like they always do, I'm supposed to be a martyr on their behalf for all their problems but they never respect anything I say when I'm concerned about something or even acknowledge when I'm having an off day due to the black dog and then get pissed off when I lose my patience.

Being honest, my diet has gone to shit in the last year and I don't exercise very much, if at all so I can see where things have gone pear shaped as I already knew my blood pressure was going in the wrong direction but it's not like I'm overweight or anything so I don't know, I just haven't felt right and not in a way that feels like something "normal" so best to be safe and address it ASAP.

 

For those thinking about Takara Raiden, Omegalock now have Shouki up for pre-order. Total price is £150. Good £20 cheaper than Indemand etc

 

While Fort Max looks great i dont think he actually has great play features. its just a big robot lying/sitting down. also Prime Wars base connectors are different to WFC connectors so he wont connect to Earthrise bases for example. i dont think he's worth 250/300.

Maybe consider Black Zarak, or if you want an autobot, Omega Supreme is still in stock at a few Smythses both at standard titan prices. I believe Omega has both Prime Wars and WFC base connectors too.

I haven't watched the extended hobbit movies. The first two I enjoyed well enough but that 3rd one just left me a bit cold. You've lit the fire though. I'll be making a point of watching the extended editions in the run up to Christmas.

Bar steamhammer (the constructicon torso guy) I love all those Energon combiner bots. Tis a shame they only had 3 molds per combiner. Also a pity Fans project stopped at Bruticus when it came to making new limb bots.

It had such a short pre-production I can understand all the CGI. I can understand the reason for it, doesn't mean I like it. Those 3 LOTR movies will stand the test of time much better.

Yeah, I ended up bedridden for three months because I didn’t think I was sick enough to bother the doctor only to end up battling two very prolonged infections that really messed me up. I’d give them a call, let them know what you are experiencing. It’s not 100% the person you see Thursday will know about heart issues, so it’s well worth getting the ball rolling on that

 

Also Hamelys Rodimus is about £63 all in with the discount code, which is closer to inflated leader than commander price. defo worth it at that price

As @4249david and @Siege Fan have said @Maniac23 is your man who is selling Fort Max. Definitely cheaper than what you have seen. I would suggest contacting him about his FM.

@Popemon has said you might find your son gets as much enjoyment out of Siege Omega Supreme or Black Zarak (not sure if any Scorponok’s left for near to retail prices). They will definitely be cheaper than FM and possibly meet your requirements more. Unless FM is whom you have set your eyes on ;-) hehe.

With regards to buying later on. The longer you leave it the likelyhood you will end up paying a lot more for any of these larger Titan sets (with the exception being the Ark). As an example Scorponok was sold for £130 ish when it first arrived and once no more about that price went up to the mid £200s and I believe it got as high as £340. That was within 6-9 months.

Thanks very much - this is all been so helpful. He’s mad about the mini cons, Titan masters, minimus Ambus etc so any large base style will work - though her watched a few EmGO review on Ark and Fort Max, Metroplex - he loves them all so - told him Firt Max was stronger than Metroplex, Metro is tallest, Ark can fly, so do t think he’ll be disappointed either way.

main value will be to have a play ground for his minis. Ark looks least interactive (kind sad it doesn’t have more internal play spaces/rooms and turrets don’t swivel etc). Max seems to have quite a but interior space, platform area, extra 5mm weapon slots. I can 3D print oversized turret moulds from say Powermaster prime to our hearts content - so the extra ports will get loaded.
I’ll check the other suggestions and see how it all Measures up. If I grab the cheaper one
I Might be able to fill out his mini con ranks too.

I’ll go on record now and say that I’m getting nothing out of this at all and it’s all entirely for him.

Never ignore your body when it's trying to tell you something, and I agree with Myteaboc, might be best to get in sooner if it's your ticker. Fingers crossed it's nothing serious.

Got my mpm starscream ko. Looks bloody lovely. Mmmmmmm. Really liking these MPM figures.

Also, new boiler being fitted tomorrow. A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one. Was thinking of getting it replaced not too shortly in the future anyway.

 

Postage takes it up to 156.60, but that is still cheaper than elsewhere.

Weclome to thread! To echo what @Popemon said, Fort Max is a fine toy, but I don't know if it's worth more than £200. Your kiddo would probably get more enjoyment out of Omega Supreme - it has more going on - and it does have connectors that are compatible with both Titans Returns guys like Blaster and Powermaster Prime, and the War for Cybertron base guys.

Omega also has a micromaster come with him, so @GrahamFA your kid would get another little dude to play around with. The rocket base, turret and rocket ship would probably make Omega the best one to play around with with lots of little guys on it IMO.

 

That’s something Graham can consider. Perhaps contact G4G, @Genetic on the stock coming in.

Out of Siege Omega, ER Scorponok and The Ark, I would say Scorpy is the way forward for @GrahamFA . If he cannot secure Scorpy then Black Zarak. At least that figure shares the mould. Has three modes and should give his son options. IMO Omega Supreme is the best for the base mode. The latest titans will allow more connectivity with the current lines released which @Popemon has mentioned.

For a base I recommend Omega since he has the most usable space for smaller TFs, plus you can get cheap Ironworks and the like.

 

What I would say as far as seeing which sites are trustworthy is ask on here and ALWAYS go by the maxim that if it seems too good to be true, IT IS. Beware of those sites that seem to sell a mix of things and have names that either don't mean anything or don't link up with what they're selling and always take a look at when a site opened and what their contact email is. If the site is recent and the contact email doesn't match up to the site name at all, it's going to be a scam site.
