I don't think we will get a trailer this december.

My first reason is : The hasn't even finished filmining, it would be way to early
My second is : Paramount is also delaying trailer movies to 5-4 months before the release, for example, the Sonic Movie 2 trailer still hasn't been released, and the movie is coming in 6 months, 2 before Rise Of The Beasts.

 

They technically already put out a teaser for Sonic 2.

 

It's just a logo, like what they did for ROTB

 

Oh yeah it's an outside chance but not impossible.

That was done by @Transformers Brasil based on the concept art seen at the launch event. He said Nightbird wasn't easy to draw but she's got the basic proportions.

we Will have beacuse of The leaks,we have more transformers scenes than humans. examples: Bumblebee and Mirage finding Axalon , Maximals and Autobots teaming up in Axalon and Machuu PICCHU , and various chase scenes Between the transfomers .

we will have ! Optimus leader and will have his arc of why they must protect the earth , Mirage will have a flat arc since he will be an autobot that does not follow orders and gets in trouble , Wheeljack Just had his vehicle mode revead ,but, you can be sure that he will be the brain of the team, Arcee may be based on continuity where she was a biologist and had personal issues with the past and also Steven mentioned her as A Great Warrior and wanted to give her more voice so she's going to be the Autobots Muscle.

Noah and Elena will maybe be a generic protagonist but it doesn't mean he's bad, an ex-military man who helps his family in the absence of his daddy (possibly dead) and ends up committing a crime and seeking redemption with optimus, Elena is an archaeologist who works in a museum and has his credits stolen for her boss

 

Look, as much as I'm looking forward for the movie, these are just speculations. It's better to lower your expectation.

 

Not to sound smug, but I was the first crazy person to come up with the idea that the vehicle "TV Pablo" was Wheeljack in this thread :3

it had been Revealed before, so it was obvious the van was wheeljack. I don't know another transformer that turns into a van.

Missed this earlier but I think this is grossly overlooking my actual problem. Yes, it was very "plot of the week" with G1, but the key difference is that, barring certain examples already disclosed with @Darth Gonzo earlier like the weather satellite thing, virtually all of Megatron's plots he came up with after landing and awakening on Earth. He didn't need to have several excessively long-term convoluted plots all centered around Earth for stupid reasons that were simultaneously contradictory to each other. He, and by extension the other Decepticons, were a constant active threat able to adapt on the fly to whatever they could get.

Ancient Aliens is a far overplayed trope and is nothing more than the poor man's excuse for retconning something important without having to really explain why nobody knew about it beforehand. Doing it once is okay, but we're literally on iteration SIX at this point. AllSpark, Harvester/Matrix, the Ark (fuel cell was what caused Chernobyl and of course the Spacebridge being on the moon this whole time), Transformium, and whatever the hell TLK was about + UNICRON IS THE EARTH. And now we've got whatever nonsense is under MORE ancient civilization ruins with ROTB?

The whole point of the Great War is that its a civil war between the Autobots and Decepticons, this is the backbone of the entire franchise. All this absolute garbage about crap ending up on Earth and nobody remembers or noticed the growing pile of god-level junk in the same place in the universe really makes Earth look more important than the planet that control over was literally why these two factions of space robots are fighting in the first place. The Decepticons largely should only be concerned with conquering the Autobots, full stop. Otherwise...why are they even fighting? Forget all the conspiritorial grandstanding and attempts at trying to be smart, because Paramount just doesn't know how to actually do it.

What's funny is that G1 itself already established that two or more characters could easily share the same alt. mode and nobody cares. Sunstreaker and Sideswipe are known as the Lambo brothers because they're both Lamborghinis, while ironically Red Alert who isn't one of them straight up has the same make and model Lambo alt. mode as Sideswipe (because retool). And with ROTB, if they inverted the damn colors so it was a blue car with a silver stripe instead, that would legitimately make the car look more like Mirage than Jazz.

 

My wish list for this film: (just my personal thoughts on what I want to see)
- The Beasts have time to shine and tell their stories.
- There is some backstory on the Terrorcons.
- Transformers like Wheeljack showing what they can do (e.g. Wheeljack is an inventor, he should show it by doing things an inventor does)

Other than that that's all. My expectations are pretty low.
