i know is WAY TOO LATE BUT.... CONGRATULATIONS Burnout! one more shinki added to your collection! (also i have envy) meanwhile on the koto side of things.... 【速報】明後日よりカオプリアリスご予約受付開始! | メガミデバイス オフィシャルブログ メガミ開発室
Wow, I really like the look of this. The irony this is Alice in Wonderland themed and she has a LITERAL KEYBLADE, yet this isn't a Disney thing, is amazing, but the combined mode really looks spectacular with the way the rabbit legs integrate and then a TOMMY GUN. Definitely on the wishlist for next year.
I'm sorry I know this doesn't really add to the thread in any meaningful way but... WHY DOES BBTS SELL OUT SO FAST I watch for these releases like a hawk TT^TT how do i keep missing them?!
Alot of the newer Megami device girls had their preorders sold out within half-day on amiami, it's crazy.
I try to preorder the Megami's the second they show up and i still missed them. The BBTS listing page is my home page and I check it pretty constantly. I see them on a few other sites but BBTS lets you pay when they arrive which is a needed benefit for me.
I feel like the production runs on the newest releases have been smaller. Koto kits didn't used to sell out day 1.
Half day? You'd be lucky if you could get one after an hour. I have given up pre-ordering any Megami or Frame Arms Girl kits from Amiami. Using combination of Anime-Export and Amazon Japan for kits I really want during this time. Have only had 3 orders from Anime-Export so far but they helped me replacing the Robot Spirits figure with broken joint very quickly so I am pretty satisfied with their service. Got the Tamamono and Durga I from them. Also, Max Factory's new subline of Plamax model kit is open for pre-order. The first figure will be GO-1 Godwing Celestial Knight Yuri Godbuster and it will be the 1st kit from this line that is made in Japan. Their previous kits have mixed review and many quality concerns about durability (well, so it Bandai's 30MS lines ) I will build this Alice kit first to see if I want to PO the Celestial Knight.
So I built the Plaxmax Alice. The plastic quality for white, blue and black are superb. These parts are very saturated in color and look great as is, even better than regular Bandai kits. They look comparable to finished product like SHF or Revoltech. On the other hand, gold, yellow(hair) and skin plastic colors are average or below average. Will really benefit from painting. Second thing I love about this kit is its design. Keyhole and circuit like details at the back. Quite fitting for Maidroid lol. Compared to the Kotobukiya Fram Arms Girl or Megami Device kits, Plaxmax Maidroid is very light in equipment. Skirt armour and two swords are all you get. The hand options are limited too. only 3 sets. It does come with 4 painted faces and 4 unpainted ones, which is very generous. The included stand is also excellent. Looks great and very sturdy. Will buy it if released as standalone product. Second sword hilt can be used as windup key at the back. Really loving all these design choices. One thing to note for this kit is that while it doesn't really have joint tolerance issues like early Frame Arms Girl kits or 30 Minute Sister kits, you still need to sand down some joints. Ankle, wrist and shoulder joints will break over time if you don't loose them up. It's simple physics. These designs are just asking for trouble. Overall, I am really happy with the kit. Will probably get the other two maidroids down the road. Hopefully Plaxmax will release the Queens of Hearts.
the figure itself looks cool... but for some reason the face puts me off a bit... i mean compared to the original ilustration. Not the first time i see this since even some shinkis have that problem but in this specific case is like the sculpted face doesnt do the illustration justice. otherwise the figure looks great!
So, in celebration of reaching my holiday break and a bunch of money getting freed up, I went ahead and placed orders for two figures I've had my eye on for a long time now - Alphamax Isis - the Deluxe edition with the Jojo Stand like support unit and the...extra parts that I'll probably never use. https://www.usagundamstore.com/products/alphamax-dark-advent-undead-dress-isis-dx And Megami Device Chaos and Pretty Alice https://www.usagundamstore.com/products/megami-device-chaos-pretty-alice Since I ordered them together, they won't arrive until Alice is in stock which is like in May/June, but I've got so much shit pre-ordered that hey, I don't mind. I've got plenty of backlog as it is.
Does anyone here mess with the Little Armory line of Fire-Arm accessories? I love them but haven't had any so far that have required glue. The Python revolver set (LA074) seems to need it for anything to hold. Not a real problem i just don't have any atm. But besides that small frustration the set is pretty dope. Comes with a leather like strap i didn't expect, and individual shells that i'm excited to lose. Anyone else here support the line or have any recommendations? I only have the P226 / P228 and the M24SWS.
Been a while but I finally had the nerve to start the hresvelgr my boyfriend got me for my B-day in July. Slide decals turned out better than my previous attempts! I used pieces of gundan decal stickers for some spots on the body too!
I thought I was done abusing my wallet after this past buying spree. Then I discovered Suruga-ya... Anyone got a guess as to why the Dengeki hobby exclusives go for less USD than a fucking Leader class Transformer at the local target? I'm guessing value depreciation due to all the "Megami device" and Frame Arms girl stuff coming out? Bought some accessory type girls and some bodies to go along with them. I remember hearing that the blank bodies went for crazy markups stateside.
Mandarake's another great site for getting Busou Shinki's for cheap, unless It's Baby Razz of course. I've been wanting her forever but why must she be so expensive
