Man could you guys, IDK, not have these in the Northeast every damn year?

Couldn’t we get like, Atlanta, Tallahassee, Knoxville or something? I mean for fucks sake. I’ve never been to a Transformers convention because theres never been one that isn’t halfway across the fucking country.

It would be nice to not have to cross the Ohio river to go. Nashville wouldn't be a bad choice.

Short anwser - it goes within distance of its sponsors dealer's room comfortability driving. There was least one major company not present in Baltimore with lots of empty space unused or unsold. No dealer's room or sponsers = no money = why bother?

They had no problem getting to Charlotte.

And all the vendors attending BotCon every year managed to travel wherever their headless chicken decided to die on the map.

Chicago much closer to me than Baltimore... going on the list. Though I'll throw a +1 to the Knoxville suggestion, that's even closer than Chicago.

It's being held right by O'Hare, which is a safer area than anywhere in Chicago.
Stay away from the city itself, it is NOT safe.

I went in 2016 and 2018 and enjoyed the Chicago shows both times (second year, got Botcon Scorponok for a very good deal). I was looking forward to 2020, but... well, 2020 happened. At the same time, I netted some of the last big Botcon/TFCC stuff I wanted off of ebay over that time, and a lot of things I might have sought out at TFCon has gotten newer and better versions from either the mainline or Selects.

Not sure I'll go even if the world's in a better place for that kind of thing.

Right! Or at least bring it back to Orlando to make up for the cancelled con. I would love to go. And Orlando is so ideal with Universal studios being right there with their transformer ride.

They should have tried to get it in Orlando to make up for the cancelled 2020 one.

It's only 74 miles from me lol. (Tampa will never have a big con,so Orlando is my only hope.)

So much was shoehorned into Florida they have no space again mate & no incentive to discount the cost either.

Then they should try Tampa. Been to many conventions in Tampa this year. It is nice right off the water of the gulf, great beaches, Orlando is like 50 minutes away. Cheaper than Orlando too.

I was counting on Transformerland being there and was shocked when they weren't. Kind of ruined the whole con for me personally since the dealer room was 90% 3P stuff that could easily just be bought online.

Yeah when it's not about transformers but 3rd party or fan made merch, it's no longer a tfcon. Felt bad for the guests surrounded by it all too.

Chicago is amazing. Great food, great architecture, great people, great sights.

Anyone not going there (or Baltimore) because it's 'dangerous' is missing out. Shame.

I'll disagree about the fan made merch part because it's at every type of convention, but otherwise yeah.
