Technically it's "incoming" right now. Mine was paid off in full already so I'm hoping it will ship soon!

Is it because he's a reviewer with 116K subscribers? And retailers know what's good for them?

Yeah he's got connections and he is sponsored occasionally cause his reach is very good. Plus he's very enthusiastic and tends to like a lot of the figures he gets so the companies are probably happy to send him stuff.

Yeah, you're both right. After watching it I can see it looks like Bombusbee might've sent him an early copy for the sponsorship. That's fair. I'm just suuuuper excited for this guy.

Speaking abt decepticon, I'm wondering does any of you are applying decepticon sticker to ur devil saviour figures? If you are, where did u put it?

I usually always add faction symbols to my 3rd party stuff, and even some hasbro stuff since they don't always include one.

Currently stuck in a rain storm without power, so I decided to pass the time getting very familiar with the bane of all our existences - Split. And I'm rather pleased to report that, after a few hours of careful study and tinkering, I believe I have now conquered the beast. (Sorry if the formatting here is weird and super long, I have to type all this up on my phone)

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you:

    -- SURVIVING SPLIT --

First, I'd like to address the core issues most of us have had with Split.
    • The legs don't support the figure's weight
    • The feet aren't stable
    • The backpack makes the figure too back heavy
Through my trials I have not only discovered the solution to all of these issues, but have also come to realize that none of these (with one exception) are actually issues with the figure in the first place. I have to say, I don't think anyone has been giving Devil Saviour credit for this one - I now believe that they actually designed Split to naturally accommodate for all of these. It's entirely possible that the only reason why we've all been struggling with Split for so long is because we've all been misunderstanding how to configure/handle the figure.

What do I mean by this? Observe -

    Split_Standing 1.jpg

I have had absolutely no issues with Split's stability once I realized a few things about the figure's design.

The issue most people have had where the hips don't want to stay tabbed in? Not actually a design issue, potentially just a QC issue. Tighten these screws and your figure's hips are golden:
    Split_Hips.jpg

The issue most people have had where the feet can't support the figure because the guns dont stay attached? Not actually an issue, double check that you are connecting the gun at both ports on the leg and they should remain in place. The guns should be flush against the leg, like so:
    Split_Leg.jpg

The issue where the ankles like to swivel freely on the pin? Yes, this an issue. Ah hah! And yet... it's also not really an issue. This is where I believe Devil Saviour actually knew exactly what they were doing with Split. You see, the figure is extremely back heavy thanks to the massive backpack. This is also something most people have pointed to as a crippling flaw of the figure but, like the ankles, I'm now convinced it was an intentionally genius design.

IF you have your hips properly tightened (preventing them from splitting apart from the weight), and IF you have the guns properly attached to the legs, everything else falls into place. The ankles are an issue only in the sense that the figure can theoretically topple forward but it wont topple forward because the weight of the backpack keeps the figure leaning back. And if you have the guns properly attached, the lower legs will support that back weight. And if the hips are properly tightened, the upper legs will support it as well.

So what IS the real issue with this figure? The one exception that I mentioned before?

    It's this connection right here:
    Split_Backpack Clip.jpg
    Split_Backpack.jpg

This one connection is the ONLY thing keeping your figure from splitting apart. As long as the backpack remains tabbed in here (and you've fixed the other two issues mentioned), the weight distribution on the figure just works. The problem is that if the backpack isn't connected here, everything else domino's and fundamentally fails.

Split actually isn't the nightmare figure we've all been thinking it is (the robot mode at least). But it does have an achilles heel which, ironically, isn't the heel itself. It's the little tiny tab that plugs into the backpack; a tab which, at least on my figure, seems just a little too short to actually jam into the backpack and get a firm grip.

My solution to this issue -- I applied a TINY amount of super glue onto the tab itself and let it completely dry before touching it. And when I say tiny, I mean the smallest layer of super glue you can imagine. I applied a tiny bubble worth from the dripper, then wiped most of it off with a paper towel. Doing so gave the tab on my figure just enough girth, and just enough bite, to stay tabbed into the backpack completely!

    So, a quick review --
    1. The legs on Split are actually great, you just most likely have to do some fine tuning on the hips and really make sure you have those guns flush against the legs!
    2. You cannot remove the backpack from the figure, as the weight was cleverly integrated into the weight distribution of the figure.
    3. You will most likely need to figure out some way to give that peg some extra grip to ensure the backpack stays tabbed into the back. (Again, an ultra thin layer of super glue has absolutely worked for me)

on my figure, the problem was that the tab did not fit inside the slot. a couple of minutes with a small file and the slot is now wide enough to accommodate it.
