I don't remember; I know he was sold that year. Maybe he was like Whirl and Roadbuster; released as a toy with no cartoon appearances.

 

Yesterday on Weibo, Newage replied to one comment that they were packing Magnus and/or Optimus!

 

Marginally better than MS but my days of swapping figures for slightly better ones are over. Too much money wasted.

 

I can confirm Hubcap was a toy only character in G1 (and G2). The only media he was in in the 80s was one issue of a Japanese comic that had a group of minibots fighting Bruticus. Apparently their alt modes somehow combined to spin through Bruticus' chest. Other than that he didn't appear in any other fiction until Dreamwave in 2004.

 

Wow, if this figure could be upscaled and toon accurately coloured it would be better than all the current MP Cyclonus options (Cycloni?) available.

 

Holy crap, that looks incredible. Even though I mostly lean toward Magic Square, I had my fingers crossed NA would tackle Cyclonus to go with their Galvatron, as I could never quite find MS Cyclonus acceptable enough to purchase. This one is no contest. His head even has the eyeshadow.

Probably not. There’s only two months left in the year and there’s still Magnus and Prime to be released before then. This is still a cad file, we haven’t even seen a prototype unlike those two.

 

To be fair, Newage’s release schedule is insane. Assuming Cyclonus and Beachcomber are next after all the Constructicon and Prime repaints, I’d be surprised if we didn’t have these by next Spring.

 

What I also like about this is it's a very likely sign of a future Scourge. Who knows how far away, though.

 

I think Magnus and Prime will finish 2021. They have been working on the Stunticons also (H36 to H40), with these new Beachcomber and Cyclonus, that's already nearly a whole year plan for 2022. Although I really hope we will have Jetfire next year! (Jetfire and ss1 car bots are my main priority now!)

 

so guess it'll now be three versions for me, from three 3p companies, and paying three times for something i really should only have one of!  

 

This will be four legends cycloni for me if I include that piece of turd MFT Cyclonus.
