The last three Insecticons were all done in different styles. One had flat yellow, one clear yellow, and one metallic gold, and they each had different shades of purple. I'd say they needed the update more than a lot of the figures we got in WFC or SS86.

Some brave tfwiki editor needs to add "beyond betrayal" to the site so that it can stand next to "ruined forever."

Yeah, calling the new Prime figures a betrayal is well beyond an overreaction. It's okay if he doesn't like the figures, but honestly I really hate it when people say things like that.

I don't hate the Bulkhead Design. It clearly took inspiration from the Prime version and the Animated Version, threw in some Movie Hound, and then G1-ified it.

You could classify Legacy as a "What if?" Toyline. This figure asked the question "What if they made Bulkhead during the G1 Days?" And it did just that. Essentially, it took the original figures and G1-ified them to make them fit in the Generation 1 Style.

The figures look fine but nothing that grabs me. Bulkhead looks cool but would not fit with Prime stuff or G1 stuff but I respect the new design, Arcee looks ok but I think I am still better off with the Prime RID 20212 toy, and Optimus looks cool but I think by that point I would rather get the old G2 toy.

Kickback and Dragstrip look cool but better have their whole teams made to be worth it.

Still waiting on a new Gears toy and earthmode Hound to fit the CHUG 2015-present CHUG look I guess.

The one good thing about the Stunticons is the individual bot modes look good. If everyone of them is as good as Dragstrip is, I’ll for sure pick em all up. They won’t be combined that much if it very sunbow “slap four cars on a skeleton”. But I do look forward to seeing the rest of the team!

I wonder how the rest of the team will be released. Is it one stunt icon or two per wave,

It seems to be one per wave based on leaks. Wildrider in wave 2, Deadend in wave 3 and Breakdown in wave 4.

Are the TF-Prime figures not cartoon accurate enough? (That's a serious question, I didn't pay attention to the show.) We G1-ers chase that cartoon accuracy high because so many of our toys didn't match the cartoon. But if TF-Prime is your jam, don't you already have great toys to match the show?

You know, I like the collector community here. But as you point out, some people in fandom get a little over their heads. It's your right to like or dislike anything you want. But, wow, feeling "betrayed" by Hasbro because they released a sculpt you don't like sounds like this person probably need to look after his mental well-being a bit.

I have a G1 bias. (Is that what the youn'un whippersnappers call a "geewunner?") But I've always liked Bulkhead. Transformers has always flooded the shelves with redundant characters, but the few "characters" they allow to develop are few and far between. Bulkhead has actual character development. The "big guy." I liked him better as the gentle-giant smart guy in Animated. That show had heart.

I like that balance in engineering that uses the parts of the vehicle mode to make the robot with as few faux parts and panel-forming as possible. Kingdom Optimus, Sideswipe, Cyclonus, *chef's kiss.*

Bulkhead's usual design is distinctive in that he tends to have curves. I don't really like that his chest is just the cab of a truck. Could use more curves. Or, heavens-to-Betsy, panels to make it more robot-like. That's it. That's my critique.

The whole scramble city ova was dumb. It was a one episode off shoot to sell toys and it worked for that. But I don't remember any teams getting mixed and matched up before or after that happened. The teams were always the same bots drawn in mostly the same order when the animation guys weren't sleep deprived. I want to see a dedicated team make a dedicated combiner.

I understand, but you see, they could've simply reissued a 3 pack with all of them in the same colours in either of those special lines. Even I may have bought that. We had Odyssey collection, golden disc collection and various other specials. I assume Hasbro counts on the Insecticons popularity to milk our wallets with three deluxes. Well, not with me

I liked that about Ruination in RID/Car Robots, that it didn't always combine the same way.

Look, if you are good with what was, great. I didn't get the as legend size because I wanted them to be a bit bigger. This new one works for me and everyone else that wanted the same. If you are so bitter about kids toys you might want to take up a new hobby. The stress you seem to be under going on and on about all of this can't be good for your health.
Buy want you want but put the soap box away because not everyone agrees with you.

I know many people feel let down by the fact that Menasor will have slap on cars on his legs and arms but I'm not, for me it is not mainly about the combined mode - I usually prefer the team as individuals and it means the individual robots will only have to deal with two modes.
Dragstrip looks pretty damn snazzy to me! Looking forward to seeing the rest of the gang, especially my boy Deadend. I hope the Ramjet and Dirge 2 pack gets another run (otherwise I might have to overpay on eBay some day for it) so I can have Deadend and Dirge hanging out and being all gloomy together - Misery loves company!
